Birthdays, Holidays and General Updates
With so much happening in the months of October, November and December and me being a generally lazy person I've decided now would be a good time to post about all of what's happened in the past two months and what should be happening through December.
October
- Halloween was good, saw Zombie Girl live and forgot my respirator in a bus shelter.
- I didn't get the position as a Sales Coach and had a -really- rough month at work. I amlost quit a couple times. I was also frustrated by never being able to see my online friends. They mean a lot to me and not being here for them was a real stress inducer.
November
- Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday in the year. This year's was amazing. We went to Calgary and spent time with my aunt, uncle and cousins who live there. The rest of the family also came up with us from Edmonton so it was a nice big get-together. I didn't fight with my mom, everyone got really drunk and I met my cousin Jessica's boyfriend. He's very cool and there's talk that they might be getting engaged. I really needed something like this to help me get over October.
- Work still sucked but I started my new shift. I like it though I still don't see people as much as I'd like to. My social life seems to have kicked into high gear and my presense is in high demand. I'm getting a little run ragged and might have to take a break from a few things to collect myself and visit more with other people who mean a lot to me.
December
- I don't know if I love this month or hate it. My birthday is on monday (the 11th). People generally forget it or skimp and only get me a christmas-plus-birthday gift. I don't mind that. What I don't like is that occasionally they make me feel guilty that they only got one gift "I couldn't afford to get you both and with the two being so close together and having to buy for everyone else too, you shouldn't really expect two gifts, it isn't fair to me" type shit. Well I'm really fucking sorry. Thank you for reminding me that my birth was not only an inconvience for you, but for my birthparents as well!
- Christmas. I hate it. I really really fucking hate christmas. I hate the big family thing we do because people always argue and fight and there's resentment about gifts and playing favorites and family politics and all that shit. Not to mention I spent about 4 years hiding in my basement avoiding these things like the plague when I was younger because I didn't have anything in common with anyone in my family. I still don't, but now that I have a potential career they ask questions about that.
- Work. I want to be a Sales Coach. I do not want to talk with fuckwits on the phone anymore. I'm trying to get my metrics up there. I'm doing more special projects, I work overtime and am trying my best to get noticed. If they don't promote me by january I'm gonna be pissed.
As a side note, I'm currently doing my hair christmas colours. Red for the sides/top/back and green for the bangs. I'm still choppin the chelsea and y'all have Jen to thank for that!
