Better Late Than Never

Well, I've been bad about updating this, but not much new has been happening in koi land outside of work. Work is still amazing, my team is one of four piloting the "YTO Project". YTO is "Your Tech Online" a small over-the-phone tech service with amazing results. They're top in the field and Dell decided to contract them to teach a small number of us just how they do it. They specialize in manual spyware removal and networking issues. Two of the things that usually take your average agent forever to get through. We're being taught new tools, different ways to approach problems, different everything. Plus, we're being taught HOW things work, the better we understand the problem the better we can fix it right?
All in all the experience has been amazing. I love learning and I'm learning tonnes. We've also been relocated to another building so we hav eour own seats, meaning we got to decorate. We've got dollar store toys everywhere, nerf guns and disk shooters and all sorts of things. Posters, a singing fish even! (My team is the Fighting Dellfish. talk about ironic eh?)
So, my team rocks, my work space kicks ass and I'm enjoying the work itsself. All in all, I'm loving my job.
Life is much the same with two exceptions. My little sister is now 20. And Mother's Day. Both happened May 14th. We had a lovely brunch, opting to celebrate Mother's Day first and my sister's birthday later. For dinner we went to a friend of the family's place and had BBQ and cake. It was nice. The following weekend we went out for her party. It was hilarious, I was dressed in my best. Straight Jacket, blue/green chelsea, boots and bondage pants. My T-shirt read "Stupid People Piss Me Off". They were scared of me. Then they were like "oooh! he dances pretty!" then we went home. The music sucked but I was REALLY drunk so I didn't care.
So that's my life. Dancing, working and being a geek in between.
