back in da hood (with a few extra pounds)
so, the visit to new orleans this weekend was overall splendid. my house smells like bleach and something gross trying to fight its way through the bleach smell. the reason for that is that our landlord's friend has emptied the fridge out, the contents of which now lie in front of our house in plastic bags. did some cleaning and removed some obscene pictures on the wall, since our landlord is staying at the house this week. then hung out in the quarter, had a soda at molly's and sat by the mississippi.
after getting stuff from travis' and vicky's house and snapping some extreme mid city shots, we went back to my house, and then good pizza and mozarella sticks were had at turtle bay. we then got a drink at one eyed jack's and met up with vicky, her mom, rj and his parents plus threce and his girlfriend at cosmo's. it was my first time there and i liked it.
later, we met even more people back at turtle bay, such as leigh, her boyfriend, kirk, justin, david and his girlfriend, etc. it was really nice to talk to all of them, especially since some of them i don't know that well and we probably would not have hung out under normal circumstances. parents were a bizarre but funny addition, especially since vicky took great joy in yelling "cuntscab" as we were walking down the street. good times.
rj's birthday came with the strike of midnight, and so did kirk's. we went to snug harbor for a nightcab. then the merry crowd dispersed. it was real nice. vicky is a sweetheart for giving me my money back, especially since i didn't even expect her to give it back to me in the first place. one nice russian...
