GOOD Friday
Well, the only real good thing about this Friday is that Efrem is out on vacation in NYC and the office is like a ghost town. All the good little Christian Microsoft Employees have taken the day off, and the Spherion Admins & Marketing staff are all still here, regardless of religious preference.
Of course, the other good thing about this Friday is this GORGEOUS weather, but being that I am stuck inside the office and unable to enjoy it... it still gets a big BOOOOOOO!
Other than that, it's just April 2nd again...
Tonight there's a short Pathfinder session where we get to do some down and dirty boss-fighting. Should be fun. I'd love to play in person, as I miss Aimee (and Neall and Matt... and I've never met Ed...), so I'm looking forward to the possibility at Relaxicon (in 2 weeks!) as well.
Tomorrow night Delirious Rush is playing at The Wedge from 9-Midnight, and being that it's a shorter show than we're used to, I think most of us are going to crash the party over at the Formal Dress Optional show once we pack up... As long as we'll be allowed in late. I'm willing to pay for everyone up front so that LauraH gets her money and all, but I want to make sure we'll still be let in around 12:30-1am! Note to self: Must call Timm and LauraH at the theatre today or tomorrow... We shouldn't miss MUCH of the movie, if FDO still runs on the timeframe that we used to (ie. CONSISTENTLY LATE with LONG De-Virginizations, lol)... Since it's April Fool's show, they should have something strange going on beforehand. heh. But even if we miss a bunch, it will still be fun to party for the 2nd half of the movie. I have a record of coming in just as Eddie bursts through the wall, so we'll see.
Sunday is Easter, so I'm sure something will be going on at the Venables'... but I will otherwise be looking forward to simply enjoying the weather and relaxing a bit. It's been a long week, and the next few are looking to remain busy as well. D. Rush is currently seeking a new full-time bassist, and kind of half-heartedly looking for another singer... It's good to be "the star" I suppose, but I miss the harmonies (and the BREAKS!). I think we're holding out for a singer who plays keys, so I will plan to sing most gigs on my own for a good while, unless Aimee feels like she wants to jump in for a show at some point! ;-) We only have 3 gigs on the book right now through June, so it's a good time to be bringing in any new people to practice our stuff and get into our somewhat goofy and discombobulated "groove."
I'm feeling stuffed with naughty Dunkin Donuts breakfast, but pleased to have yummy in my tummy. lol. I'll have a light lunch so that Pat and I can have something fun for dinner...
Hmm... Obviously running out of update information...
OK, that's it for now, then. Have a Happy Spring Weekend, and a Happy Passover (though I think I'm late by about a week...), and/or a Happy Easter, for those who celebrate!
