Hooray!
I FINALLY got a job. I am starting on Monday, August 10th as a Senior Secretary/Executive Assistant at Microsoft (though, it's actually through the Spherion agency, and not Microsoft directly). It's another Sales Support position, so I should be like a fish in water there. It's a little less money than I'd hoped, and probably crappy benefits and a 20-30 minute commute... but if those are the ONLY drawbacks, life is good.
It should be a busy job for a demanding boss. I think it will be a challenge and I am anticipating upward movement in the next few years, so we'll see what happens. I'll update as it all starts to happen.
The move-in to the new apartment starts tomorrow, which is also VERY exciting. Pat and I have been busy and stressed, but very happy thinking about and planning our move.
I have 2 gigs with the band this weekend, back to back... which will be very tough, but give me some funds to help with stocking up the apartment with food, bathroom stuff, etc.
I know I never post anymore, but this is what's been keeping my life so busy lately. Moving and job hunting... whatever shall I do when life returns to a degree of normalcy?
