I've been waiting all afternoon/evening/night for LJ to work again! I needed to make a general bulletin about my stupidity... and share some photos from the weekend! (More to follow when we get pics from the mailing list from the actual games)
First of all... I left my phone in Delaware. I'm dumb. I put my phone in a precarious pocket, and it fell out on my way to the bus stop this morning. Great. Sucktastic. It's been recovered by my friends, but I won't be back down for 2 weeks. So, unless Aimee or someone decides to be super-rediculously nice and mail it back to me, I'm phone-less for now.
So, if you need me, please contact me by e-mail: krausemouse13@aol.com or IM me (also KrauseMouse13)
Because that's the only way you'll be able to reach me for a little while. Because I'm dumb.
SO! Photos! I have a few pics from the first game of the weekend, "Paranoia." It was all about black berets and secret ops. ;) I was "Team Leader" and Aimee was one of the "Loyalty Officers." We were in the same secret society, and I got to blow some stuff up in the name of said secret society, and frame our "Equipment Manager." He was later executed for treason, and I got off scot-free. It was awesome.
~Aimee & I, being tards... hee hee~
~Our group for the mandatory "art project/performance" at the end of the game... that's Aimee as "Eve," and me as "God"~
AND FROM THE FANTASY LARP "CELESTIAL DILEMMA" from Saturday afternoon:
~The Lovely Queen Alarielle and her Handmaiden (& Champion!), Daenyris~
The elven delegation was so incredibly well-dressed, even among all the other lovely costumed humans and goblins at the larp... We had a great time, and some intrigue (and Aimee's queen even managed to glitter-up a "conquest" in attempting to find a consort to help us save the world... heh). I died for a minute, while defending what we thought was the "Crown of Stars"... But I held my own and kicked some ass long enough to keep a large group of goblins at bay. Aimee brought me back to life and health when she arrived on the scene and took charge of the situation. ;)
Following "Celestial Dilemma," we went to a crappy buffet dinner (that John Mina was kind enough to pay for, for a whole table-full of us), and got to watch Aimee's sister bitch out an incompetent, rude waitress. Then we went back up to the hotel for "Amateur Night at the Styx"... and I got to play "Thisbe" in the Midsummer Night's Dream 'Play Within a Play' version of Pyramus & Thisbe. That was a ridiculous amount of fun, and all the other acts and songs (and the hosting) were very amusing as well. It was an all-around fun and good-hearted evening, and when Rich showed up to pick me up for Rocky, he got to stay long enough to see the final act (which had been talked about since last year!), which was most of the men of the con prancing about in their underwear (with fig leaves attached to the front), to the tune of "Yatta"... Very very funny. The whole weekend was just a barrel of laughs. :)
More photos and weekend-y updating to follow when the Rocky pics are done... ;)
