On Vox: time off....
Friday I decided to use up one of my remaining vacation days in order to give me Wednesday off - making my four day holiday weekend a nice five days.
This left me with just a hair over three days left to burn.
Since both Christmas and New Years fall on Tuesdays, Monday (Christmas Eve and New Years Eve) become free days also (actually New Years Eve is a "floating holiday"... I had picked it over Good Friday).
To sweeten the holiday season up a little, I put in for the week of Christmas... this will mean that I will not be going in to work between December 22 and January 2 (11 days by my count) and am only using three vacation days to do so.
It's a beautiful thing.
