The way of the world
Continuing the trend of horrible titles. It seems like a lot of people spontaneously have begun to Facebook about children, pregnancy and weddings in recent months. It could be that I'm hitting the time of life where this is an acceptable, expected, or wanted part of life for the majority of my friends - some of whom are younger, and some older. Wow, that was a sentence and a half.
I think there are 4 people expecting on my fb. 3 that have recently had children or children born in 1 degree of separation family (by recently - under 3 months ago). I have to wonder if this is a thing that comes in waves, if there's a bigger thing behind it... Or if I'm just trying to keep track of too many people. I guess it doesn't help working in a supermarket that markets itself as the most organic and freshest. I'm surrounded by a lot of pregnant women and newborns all the time, as well as girls that swoon over babies.
Myself, I have off and on days about that, and my thinking on whether a child is "cute" is usually directly linked to their behavior. A child will do something cute, or be dressed cutely, have their hair done cutely... Will rarely be intrinsically cute on those off days.
I can hear the rain... Just want to lie in bed a few more minutes and listen to it... But I guess the world awaits.
