growing up during the fall of Communism

I was talking tonight with Olenna, a Ukrainian mathematician, and Martin, a German mathematician, both of whom are staying in the guesthouse this week. Because of our ages and origins, we got onto the topic of Central and Eastern Europe right before and after the fall of Communism. In the midst of this, Olenna mentions that there was this series of documentary films that started with interviewing a bunch of 7 year-olds and then went back every seven years to interview them again, to see how they've changed physically, emotionally, politically, and just generally how their lot in life has progressed (or not). "Oh, you're talking about the Up Series of films set in the UK," I say. "No, these were children from all around the countries of the former USSR," she replies. And lo and behold, there was a second series created, a sort of "Post-Soviet 7 Up."
Age 7
Age 14
Age 21
Age 28
I don't know how to get ahold of these, but I'd sure like to watch them! She said it was incredible seeing all these kids talking about what the fall of the USSR meant to them and then to see their opinions evolve over the years.
