In other mathematical news, I really liked this pop math article about the
volume of spheres in $n$-dimensional space that appeared in American Scientist. Christian and I were both amazed to find that magazine among all the tabloids, gossip rags and other fluff magazines in the waiting room of the hospital yesterday. We had never heard of this magazine before, but it's basically what Scientific American used to be before it watered down its content and became a copy of Popular Science, and that's what we've been looking for since the decline of Scientific American, so I think we're going to get a subscription.
