back in New Haven

Got back to New Haven this afternoon and found an unpleasant surprise. The landlord had sent either himself or a painter this week to repaint a corner of our ceiling that had had water damage before we moved in. We had arranged this repainting to happen while we were gone. Since it's the middle of a hot summer, we told them they could use the air conditioner while they worked.

When I got home this afternoon, the air conditioner was still on. Maybe they had been here this morning or Sunday and had left it on for my arrival. But most likely they just never turned it off for the whole time they were here. That could be up to a week that the window-mounted air conditioner was on, which means quite a hefty electric bill. I feel like I should bring this up with the landlord. It would have been helpful if I had written down the values on the electric meter before I left so I'd know approximately how long it was on. What's your opinion? Is this worth the hassle of bringing up?
