Utah
We had a very relaxed day today in Utah. Slept in and my cold seems to be on its way out, thankfully. We had lunch at a cute bakery with Christian's aunt, then she showed us Utah State University, where she works. Then it was off to the canyon for a two hour hike. I think our legs are happy to have some motion again after two days of sitting in a truck.
We cooked dinner tonight for Christian's aunt and uncle. Christian marinated some chicken, then put it on the grill and went into the kitchen to stir-fry some veggies in the wok. Meanwhile, I nearly burned down the house. I checked up on the chicken, flipped them and then went back inside to continue reading something on my computer. A few minutes later I go out again and see flames lapping out of the sides of the closed grill. I open the lid and a huge ball of flame comes out, nearly to the roof of their porch. I turned it all off and luckily the only thing that caught fire were a few hairs on my arms. Unfortunately, the chicken got a little charred on the outside, but it was still pretty tasty. You should all trust me IN YOUR KITCHEN. With knives and flames and stuff.
Tomorrow we're on the road again.
