So I got home from my trips to find several outstanding bills from Cingular, my former wireless provider. Apparently my service with them had run three days into the next billing cycle before I switched to Verizon. So I'm fine with paying the late fees because even if they hadn't immediately shut down my online account the second I switched to Verizon, I still would not have checked the entire summer to see that I had this outstanding balance. What does irk me to all hell is that they charged me for the FULL FUCKING month for just three days of service. And after calling them up they completely refused to budge on this issue, saying it's in my terms of contract, etc. I asked them to prorate it like other companies do and the fuckers said most wireless providers will charge you for the full month. I just blew up, which is not something I do. But I've just been so pissed by the shitty service I've gotten from this company the entire time I've been their customer. I'm so glad to be done with them. Gone gone gone.
Verizon has been so wonderful in these three months we've been on with them. They're applying this special promo retroactively and have been helpful to us every time we come by. Also, when my phone says I have three bars of reception, it's an accurate representation of my reception. Unlike Cingular, which would crackle and fade even when the phone said I had three or four bars. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them.
Any friends who are on their plan should switch now to save yourselves the trouble.
