According to a September Pew research poll:  "While 25% of Americans say they would be less likely to vote for a Mormon for president, 45% express reluctance about voting for a Muslim and 61% say they would be less likely to support a candidate who does not believe in God."

Yes.  Your reading that correctly.  75% of Americans would be perfectly ( Read more... )

"Eintstein supported creationism"

No... he did not. Don't say stuff without proper research In fact, he said this about the subject "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." He referred to God many times, but when he did so, his God was the laws of physics.. not a man in the sky.

"YOUR philosophical doubt of a creator doesn't make those who do believe in a creator irrational."

Tom Cruse believes that when people act angry, depressed, or in anyway "not-normal" the reason people act this way is because interdimensional beings are attacking their brain. Science has never discovered any existence of these beings, and in fact, are making great progress to discover the true reasons behind brain disorders... now, apparently my philosophical doubt of these "interdimensional brain parasites" doesn't make Tom Cruise irrational. I don't know if I can buy into that...

And, I know what your going to say... But Scientology is just a cult that almost no one believes in.. but really, are these "brain parasites" any less likely then a virgin giving birth to a demi-god? so.. why are you okay with calling a scientologist crazy, and not a christian? Both religions base these "facts" out of a fucking book... with no real proof.

Which, by the way.. is the difference between a rational man, and an irrational man.. a rational man always looks for the proof.

Besides, an atheist leader and a religious leader could very easily have the same degree of education, military experience, and above all else a sense of morality to get this country back on its feet. I repeat: Why not just vote for WHOEVER strikes you as a good leader REGARDLESS of race, gender, or religion?

But... who's more likely to preserve life? The man who thinks after you die you'll go to candyland, or the man who realizes Earth's all we got?

"palace in the sky" and "candyland". hahahahaha.

and of course ryan i agree with you. choosing a religious platform to run on is like choosing sides at school while all the atheist kids who don't care are smoking pot behind the cafeteria not fighting eachother.
