When she woke up this morning, her day started out like it would be normal. Wake up, go eat and then go feed and clean the dragon cages. So she did what she usually does. And then she went to the dragon cages. About five cages in she noticed something off with the dragons.
"What's wrong Thoth?" She rubbed the large blue dragon's head. He rubbed his head into her hand and used his tail to motion behind him. She looked past him and saw a boy with brown hair lying down face first int the dirt. Shocked she dropped the container with food in it, and fell back on her butt.
"W-what i-is that!?" The large blue reptile shrugs moves out of the way so that the boy was fully visible. She stood up and wiped the dust off her butt and went to the cage door. She looked over to Thoth.
"Don't even think about escaping. I'm just going to get him out of the cage and then I'm going to call Revbora; so don't even think about it." The large reptile rolled its large gold eyes and again moved out of her way as she opened the cage door and then closed it behind her, "Just in case." Again, he rolled his eyes and lied down. She crept to the back of the cage is poked the boy.
"Hey. Hey, are you okay?" The boy didn't move. She huffed and flipped him over on to his back. He was thin and had brown out of control hair. He was weird looking by any means. She heard the sirens sound and noticed that the boy was wearing red. The colour of prisoners. She screamed and fell back. Thoth opened his eyes to stare at her. She was visibly shaking. His eyes narrowed slight and swept his tail in front of her protectively. She grabbed the tail for support and pulled herself up and glance carefully over it to see the now fully awake boy.
With orange eyes.
Staring at her.
Annoyed.
She 'eep'-ed and pointed her shaking finger at him.
[And this is where her day got weird]
"Wh-who are y-you!?" She yelled/questioned him. She boy turned his look of annoyance into a glare and rolled his shoulders. My god he wasn't a killer was he!? That thought alone made her grip Thoth's tail a litter harder. The dragon snorted and loosened her grip.
"Sorry Thoth.." She mutter, still looking at the boy, who now was attempting to stand but kept failing. It seems his leg was injured. HE still did answer her question.
"Hey! Are you okay?" She was glad her voice stopped shaking. Once the boy fell to the ground again she carefully came around from Thoth's tail protection and went over to him. He was bleeding. The sirens were still loud. The boy just seemed to notice them; the quick shot of fear appeared in his eyes when he looked to her. A scowl soon replaced them.
"You colour blind?" She shook her head, about to question what he meant but he opened his mouth again, "The do you know the meaning of this colour?" She nodded. He glared at her, "then why do you care? It's clear that they are looking for me." She shrugged.
"Maybe because you're injured. And they won't look here. It's the dragon cages." If the boy was afraid of the sirens, he was terrified at the thought of being where he is.
"The dragon cages!?" He squeaked. She held a smirk on her face and pointed to the large blue lizard in the cage.
"What did you think he was?" The boy, who apparently just noticed the large lizard promptly freaked and scrambled to the wall behind him. Even though he was dressed in red, he was terrified of the lizard; whom during this conversation had fallen asleep. She pointed to the dragon again and went closer to he boy.
"Don't worry about him. He'll be okay. If you were in Rage's or Flinch's cages you would have been in trouble. They tend to eat people." He pointed a shaking finger at her, his bright orange orbs whipping back and forth.
"W-w-what about you!?" She shrugged.
"I'm part dragon-wyrm. That's why. And if you want to escape-" She went past him and pushed open the door, "-This will lead you to the back street." They both leaned out of the door, seeing that the houses were built side by side, no spaces and no police either. He looked back to her and gave her a real smile.
"I didn't know about this street." He smile was bright and it made her flush. He saw that grinned, kissed he cheek and jumped out the door. She touched her cheek, and called out to him.
"What's your name!" He grinned and turned back to face her at the end of the street.
"Toona! You?" Toona? Why does that sound familiar? She thought. She smiled and called back out
"Jun!" He nodded and ducked down and out of the street. She closed the door and went back to feeding the dragons; only to find Revbora standing there. Her face was pale and once she saw Jun she practically ran over to her; well, as gracefully as a full Dragon-Wyrm can.
"Was someone here!?" She questioned. Jun shook her head.
"No why?"
"Toonoyoshi escaped." Jun stilled for a moment.
"...Like the Wyrm killer?" Revbora nodded. Jun nodded and slowly continued to find the dragons. Had she just let the killer of her parents escape? But he looked so young...
Once Revbora left, Jun fell to the floor in front of Mythos' cage and cried.
