Authors Notes: Oh Ben and Louis, how your love life is so complicated! Anyways, this is kind of the after math of 'Goodbye'. And I get to introduce three more characters! George is Ben's older brother, though not actually related. They met at some author conference (George is an editor) and clicked. They've known each other for about 8 years now. Melissa is George's wife, she met Ben at the same time that George did. Together they have 4 children. Two thirteen year-old twin girls, one eight year old boy (named Ben, after Ben) and one six year old boy named Justin. George is 32 and Melissa is 31. I haven't names the girls because, I haven't used then yet. And Ben Jr. is the only child that has made an appearance so far. Anyways I hope you enjoy.
"What's your point?" Angry emotions flying and really, that was never a good start. Ever.
"My point? YOU WANT MY POINT!?" The first speaker nods, his blonde hair shaking back and forth. His pulls a pink hair tie off his wrist and ties up the longer strains in a low pony tail. The angry speaker shakes his fist, about ready to knock heads.
"He told me it was my fault, slammed the door and took off. That was three days ago." The blonde stares blankly at him.
"But it was your fault." A hand is slammed down onto the table.
"No it's not. Fuck, why aren't you HELPING?!" The blonde shrugs.
"I'm not going to help you with your problem because it is your problem. You had a fight with your boyfriend. Most people do. Most people though don't have a fight about a ring. A ring, might I mention that was going to belong to you on your left hand ring finger." Scowling the angry speaker flopped onto the couch.
"I know, I know." The blonde smirks, knowing that he is getting through to his young sibling. Though he might not like the Indian man all that much, it was clear to anyone else that Ben really did love him and Louis did too. Getting up from his seat, he sat on top of Ben and took a pillow to his face, not heavy enough to suffocate him, but enough for him to listen properly.
"Ben if you are listening, flail a bit." The younger black haired man waved his arms a bit, taking this as a good sign, the blonde continued.
"You love him. As much as I don't like it, you do. Nothing is going to change that." Another arm flail to signal he is listening and agreeing.
"Louis loves you. That was a dur moment for me, when he actually came to me and asked if it would be okay if the two of you moved in together, and later, would it be okay if the two of you got married. Because I love you, and because he knows that even though by blood we are not related, you and I have a brotherly bond. He told me after he asked me why he came and asked me." Another arm flail, he was still listening.
"He told me it was because it would have been the equivalent of asking your father. He knows that you aren't on good terms with the man who was your Dad, so he did the next best thing. He asked me." Deciding to take the pillow off, he noticed that Ben had started to cry. Giving a soft smile, he got off him and helped him out.
"Don't lose him." Nodding rapidly, Ben got up wiped his face and ran towards the front door. Once his shoes were on he turned back and waved.
"Bye George! And thank you so much!"
"No problem kiddo." A playful frowned graced Ben's face and he blew a raspberry at George. He grinned and waved again. The door opened and Ben flew out the door. George sighed and rubbed the back of his head. It was dealing with his teenage children all over again.
"So, is everything good now?" George's wife, Melissa came out two coffee's in hand. George smiled and nodded.
"Yup. Hopefully there will be a wedding in a couple of months. The kids will be excited by that." She laughed, giving him his 'Best Dad/bro-ham/adoptive son/coolest secret grandson' mug. He smirked at the mug of choice and pulled his wife towards him.
"So how long do you think we have until the kid's wake up."
"Not long since most of us are awake. Just Justin is still sleeping." Answered their oldest son, Ben. His hair was strawberry blonde, and his eyes were green. Just like Ben's.
"Ah, I see." Just then the door whipped open again. Ben was standing in the doorway.
"I-I, f-f-forgot to-to ask you-ou something." He was panting from running. George cocked a brow, his wife smiled and Ben Jr. gave a happy grin.
"Will you be the one to give me away?"
A happy, celebratory laughter broke out in the house.
