The Hardest Button to Button!

Aug 10, 2003 02:04

It's been over a month since I've updated, a very eventful month too, so I suppose I shall five you a quick synopsis of the months events.
Concerts
Elvis costello- This was very enjoyable, I have his newest cd but I don't listen to it a lot, however it turned out to be very enjoyable even though I couldn't sing along Elvis Costello puts on a good show, also he has the best hair ever, I think he cut himself on his own Widdows peak at some point during the show, Chris was really insistent that they play "Red Shoes", so I allowed him to nic one of my red shoes and hold it in the air in order to get his attention unfortunatly after about 18 enores it became quite obvious he wasn't going to play said song. after the show we stood outside for a few waiting to see if we could meet the cos or any of the imposters, but that didn't go down, a shifty character approached us and informed us to the inside info that he had caught the red eye to denver, it was then that Butter proclaimed that "Elvis has left the building".Who the fuck says the red eye?
Reunion ShowEh, it was alright, a lot of gesticulation on my part, and at some point chris turned his x into a swastica, musciall I wasn't too into it. I like to jump around and that just wasn't happening, although at least they had a moog, which became a great device for me and mosh to talk about for no reason whatsoever, the bass player for ultimate fakebook is a god in my book, (keep in mind hes the god of mediocre bass playing while having a decent stage prescence).
Alien Ant FarmI now feel so very much closer to this band, I must say that rocked the stage, the being the operative word, or maybe it was rock, eh I'm not good with words, anyway this show started out so so, but when AAF hit the stage the showed us what it was all about and that was rocking out having fun and elbowing moshers,I don't know, I did quite a bit of jumping around, but I didn't really have any desire to mosh when they were playing it was fun music not angry, by the end of this show my x was work of from sweating, which only left the x that is always there anyway
The Mars Volta I can't even explain how great this was, I fucking saw Cedric Bixler Zavala and Omar Rodrieguez Lopez! This bears no meaning to any of you except maybe one or two, but thos two know what the fuck I'm talking about, Mosh you missed a hell of a show, I'll probably talk about this one later it needs its own entry, lets just say I almost missed it on several occasions, including one time when I was already inside.
