It's September and I'm Back to School!
That's right! I've signed up for a program at Seneca College. I'm taking training to become a teacher of English as a Second Language (TESL). I'm taking both the TESL 1 and TESL 2 qualifications. TESL 1 qualifies me to teach 'abroad' and TESL 2 qualifies me to teach here in private classes and Goverment LINC (LAnguage Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) classes.
The classes are at Newnhamn Campus - less than a 1 km from Mom's house where I'm staying now. And I start monday at 8:55 (that's right, not 9, but 8:55) am. I'm so excited!
Today Gerda and I walked over to the campus to buy my books, get my student card etc... It's so nice to have a direction again.
In other news, tonight we're going to see a TIFF movie. We're going because its in Swedish and the Toronto Swedish meetup group is going.
