man, this RA thing is tough shit. some people totally hate you automatically, no matter how nice of a person you are, just because you're doing your job for the community.
it doesnt bother me so much as surprise me, really. when i was a freshman, i just thought RAs were totally cool, and felt really bad if i ever caused them trouble. like, i didnt give them any flack, just felt embarassed if i had to be written up.
this year it just seems that people are wild and crazy for the hell of it. like: "ohh, im out in the quad, lemme make a fucking loud sound, since thats not what im supposed to do. fight the man!!"
well, what are you, five? yeah, wake people up, do it. im sure many more people are thinking what an ass you are versus how freaking "original" you are for squaking like a bird.
it also seems that people are more politically minded this year. its really good for senate, because we have some awesome freshmen coming in to help out, but it also does mean that people will defy the rules so theyre not "oppressed." theyre not even questioning policy, though, just going against it because its there. damn the man! fuck bush! i dont have to be quiet if i dont want tooooo! (just now i had to go tell people to stop screaming at 1am. i shoulda written them up, shoot. too nice, i guess.)
it reminds me of that one scene from family guy where brian is sitting in this diner and this baby is crying next to him. he yells at the parents for "zoning this out" and then starts crying AT the baby, over its creis. sometimes i wish i could do that. it'd be so hilarious. so hilarious.
but im no meanie.
...but it'd be so hilarious.
