I feel like I'm flailing. I'm overwhelmed.
I need to turn in a topic and get it approved for Hebrew Bible, for seminar in religion, and I need to pick a topic and write for an essay contest. I'm thinking Neuroplasticity and the brain pertaining to meditation. But that would be so much work...
Besides that, I have tons of translation for Sanskrit. We're working on the citra sutra, which is a discourse on painting and sculpture. It's one of my first real 'raw' texts, meaning real world type translation. It's so difficult, I usually don't even bother. I kind of translate a few words, then I just skip ahead, so I have no coherent translation.
For example,
janghaatulyo tathaa coru naabhistaalam tu modratah
tavacca naabherhrdayam hrdayaatkantha eva ca.
And I have roughly "The unequalled calf so also is a thief of the navel but (?) his (ucca) is not his heart, and like his heart in the neck."
And a decent translation reads "The thighs are of the measurement of the shanks. From the penis to the navel is a taala. It is the same measurement from the navel to the chest and similarly from the chest to the neck"
I fuck this shit up old school. Why do I bother?
