Star Trek Review
Some very awesome instant characterizations. Seeing that the characters can hold up with different faces is very satisfying. Bones' first speech is spot on.
Some may quibble at the reimaging and the new storyline, but they pull out the phrase that should have all Trek and just general sci-fi fans nodding their heads: alternate reality. I'm okay with that. I positively enjoyed how they were able too take familiar design elements, like the shape of phasers, the Enterprise, etc, and make them look new.
All in all, I was impressed and entertained. I walked out of the theatre asking "So this is a pilot for a new tv series, right? PLEASE?"
