I survived Sunday
I went to work, clocked in, did my job. The Wolf wasn't there. This is a good sign, but found out another was fired last night.
Cookie was in cafe, popular, always laughing. Stupidly stole a bag of chips and the store has zero tolerance for theft of any kind...so she was canned. NOT a victim of the Wolf. But this leaves the cafe completely unmanned, except by a few cashiers and bakery staff.
Already the crew are talking transferring to other stores, getting out while the getting is good and they still can without losing benefits and not much pay. Everybody is spooked, all they talk about is the senseless firings over minor shit. Mike's firing for accepting a tip was received with outrage, all agreed that he simply should have been lectured instead.
But I survived the day.
Tomorrow I will go to the store near me and talk to them about transferring to them. Yeah, I'll take a cut in pay, but will make up for not driving roughly 40 miles to work and back a day.
But I want out, I don't want to get fired for something stupid. I know the Wolf has her sights on me.
Pisser is I gotta wait til November before my driving record is clean again to apply at a delivery firm. I miss the open road.
