This was such a wonderful story!!! Definitely a true-to-life futurefic. ;)

I love me some angst, the angstier the better, but I think what I love about this story is that even though Adam is still so hurt by Kris, he's not playing games with him and taking advantage of Kris wanting him back. He's simply trying to deal with everything on his own terms and is honest enough with himself to admit that as much as he still loves Kris, it's just not that easy to forgive and forget.
