Yay! I was wondering if you'd get this up tonight!! :) This was so cute. I just don't forsee this getting old anytime soon! You write them so adorably and I just can't even handle it. The cutest part IMHO:

They both have to go separate ways since they live on opposite sides of the playground and town. Every day Kris waves like a maniac at Adam who’s waving like a maniac also, until they’re both out of sight of the other. Kris can’t wait for Monday to come.

This kind of thing isn't usually my cup of Ovaltine, but oh my gosh, this is so, so cute... I can picture it, seriously, little Kris with his ruffled hair, and blonde Adam, traipsing around each other's houses together. <3

I must give giant props to the Adam and Neil scene, too. I bet that's how it went down when they were that age. I'm sure Adam was noisy as hell, too. That was great to read!

the adam and neil scene...haha. i was actually taking inspiration from my niece and nephew. they're 4 and 3 and gosh every little thing sets them off and they start screaming. so i was thinking of that when i did that part lol.
