Mid sept post
Hmmm, so I never got around to making that f-list only post, oh well. It will come eventually.
Welcome to my monthly postings. I finally found an apt. and I LURVE it. So I am living with two total strangers, who happen to be chinese. I guess I will be working on my Mandarin in the next bit. The great things about this new place are many (in no particular order): Off Street Parking (oh those 3 magic little words), finished/partially furnished basement common space, FREE washer/dryer in the basement, kitchen with DISHWASHER (it also has an electric stove, which I am not so happy about, as I prefer gas, but with all the other perks I ain't complaining. I am back in the Brazilian part of town, and there is a place like a 2 min. walk from my house that serves a lot of my most favorite Brazilian cuisine for cheap, YAY!
In other news I am going to the sept. MIT swap fest this Sunday. I am so psyched. For an admitted geek like myself going to this thing is like being a kid in a candy store. So much computer equipment for soooo cheap OMG its nuts and I love it. I just have to limit myself as to how much I spend. I have arranged with my dept and also with the university ITS dept to take as much unwanted old equipment to this flea market to sell. Some of this stuff is not to be believed, I will be selling like a dozen CRTs, various cables, a couple printers, an old mac plus, and the best part is . . . none of it is even mine.
