she's being rebuilt

so after doing a few diagnostic tests, it appears as if 2 of my cylinders are dead with no compression and a third is operating at only 70% compression. that means my engine is fucked. the culprit, the valves on the first 2 cylinders are not sitting correctly and thus are not forming a complete seal. because of this, all the fuel/air mixture is escaping during the exhaust phase and there is nothing left power the engine during the combustion phase. The third cylinder has faulty piston rings which results in the blow by of gases during the compression/combustion phase. To remedy these problems i will need the following: valve guides, piston ring set, recut the valves, head gasket, oil pan gasket, head bolts, exhaust manifold gasket, chain guide, valve cover gasket, bolts for rockers, oil filter and i think that may be it. due to kurt's massive discount all this will run me $380. it would cost me over $2000 without his discount and over $8000 if he and metha were charging me for labor. it's good to have friends in the right places. thanks be the jesus. here are some more pictures from friday.
