Things I saw on Connecticut Ave at 4:30 Wednesday morning:
1 Budget rental truck
1 small car on Connecticut turn right into a side street, make a U-turn, and turn right back onto Connecticut to avoid the red light
1 24 hour convenience store clerk who did not speak English, but smiled profusely and simultaneously nodded and shook his head when I held up the 9V battery and pointed to it
2 24 hour convenience store clerks waxing poetically about the joys of chips and ice cream - huzzah
1 DC cop sleeping in his cruiser with the lights flashing
