His nose twitches. There was the distinct lack of ocean spray in the air. For that matter, there was a distinct lack of motion indicating he was still aboard his vessel as well. Startled eyes open wide and it so happens to be a stone ceiling staring back at him instead of the open sky. The first thought to run through his mind was - jailed.
Again.

Oh!
[Her hand flies out, a moment from trying to summon her keyblade. She nearly drops the fruit.]
Who are you?

He sheathes the sword in a fluid motion and puts his hands up in a gesture of harmlessness. See? He's a good pirate!
"I want no trouble, lass. I'm just looking for a way out of here."
Preferably a way that pointed to open water and a ship.
"When I find it I'll be on my way and out of yours."

"Do you mean out of here," she nods at the nearest wall, "Or out of the castle?"

An eyebrow goes up, "Well, both. Actually." He offers a smile to her, "If you could tell me the way to the nearest door, and directions to the nearest port I'd be so ever grateful."
Reply
"Heh, I only just got here. I haven't seen a port. We're in a castle. I don't know what the rest of this world is like."
Reply
That can't be right. Could it?
"Where you've no memory of how you've arrived. But arrived you have? And even still more perplexing there is no port nearby?" He rocks back a bit on his heels. "Well that's not a happy state of affairs, is it?"

That fruit does look mighty tasty too. "May I?" He points to the bowl.
"Well then, if you could point me perhaps to the exit of this place, I could find out if there indeed is a port or not. Then we can each be on our merry ways."

"The door's down that way." And she points back the way she's come, "I don't know where the gate is. I didn't see."
Reply
"Thank you, lass." He looks to where she's pointing down the hall, then back at her. "That wasn't too far, was it? Gate is probably not too difficult to spot. "
Big. Giant. Door.

She goes to walk on, but as she passes him, she glances back, "I'm Kairi. Who're you?"

Quickly he chewed and swallowed. Hands quickly dusted on his waist coat with the imaginary crumbs he could have gotten from the strawberry.
Then he takes off his hat, and bows low to her, "I'm Capt'n Jack Sparrow, dove."
He grins at her, surely she knew of him? Who didn't!

He didn't look like a sailor.

"Now, if I said I was, what would you do?"
Both eyebrows go up.

But she was neither one of them.
She shrugged, "Well, nothing. Pirates aren't very nice people, but you haven't hurt me." And he'd put his sword away when he saw her, so maybe he wasn't even a pirate after all.

"Well, normally, I'd be the first to agree with you! Pirates are generally a rather greedy, loud, and cancerous lot. Given much to impulses of the flesh be it drink, food ... or " He pauses and looks down at her, measuring her maturity by her height. She came up to his sternum." ... other. And a pirate I may be BUT " he makes sure to emphasize the word of with both of his hands. " But, I am mostly not to be confused with that weasely lot of bilge rats. "
There's a flash of gold in the grin that he gives her, " And there would not be a reason to be going and hurt you. Not one that I could fathom anyways."
If she caused him any trouble a rag and a bit of rope would fix the problem! That's not hurting anyone, is it?
