[Oh the good captain has spent the better part of his week gathering supplies of a curious sort. Lengths of cloth and rope. Wood gathered from the leavings of bench making, a few forgotten ladders and broom handles and some cautious and quick dashes to the very edge of the forest to snatch whatever deadwood would do

[Happy to see you too!]
Jolly, aye, and wishing to share it!
Won't you join me?
[Isn't he charming and absolutely harmless?]
Reply
[A pause.]
Is it going to sink?
Reply
[You can hear it in his voice, he is sad indeed. This pirate was missing his other half something fierce-like.]
It is a sturdy vessel, though, the newly birthed Rally. It'll go where you ask it to upon the waters as what we've got. As long as you do not plan to dump her, she'll float.
Reply
The Rally, hm?
[Another pause as she considers; she really hasn't been on a boat for quite a long time, and as much as she wanted to stay away from her fishing-village roots, she would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy ships.
Besides, it's not like she has anything better to do.]
Where should I meet you?
Reply
She'll be awaiting your presence upon the shore of the lake, nearest to the storage shack where her unadorned twin rests.
[He his happily humming, tacking the boat back to shore as they speak.]
If you like, perhaps, I could meet you and escort you for your voyage?
Reply
[She pulls a face, before reaching up a hand to muss up her already messily-tied up hair.]
Then again, why not? I'm in the chapel, second level. Come find me.
Reply
[All the women he knows could kick his ass anyways, or he lets them slap him around a bit. Women are scary creatures.]
I'll be there in a moment then.
[If anyone was minding to notice, they would see one very proud captain swaggering his way across the Keep grounds from the lake toward the chapel. For being drunk, he still has his faculties about him and does not stumble.
Yet.]
Hoy there! Little Boy!
[He'll call out as he approaches the church.]
Reply
I believe this is the first time that we have met in person.
Reply
I do believe that you are indeed, correct.
[He takes his hat off and approaches Little Boy.]
As such, I think a proper introduction is due!
[The pirate goes into a rather extravagant bow.]
I am Captain Jack. Sparrow! Master of the Black Pearl ...and! The Rally.
At your service.
Reply
You know my name already, but you may have it again- Little Boy. Perhaps you will learn my real name later, if I find I like you enough.
Now, Captain- let us see this splendid ship of yours, shall we?
Reply
I look forward to finding out then, if that day shall come to pass.
[Oooo, more rewards for pleasant behavior? He'll take those!]
Let us board her then! And be off! Or as far as we can...
[Clearly NOT enough water for his liking.]
Reply
As far as we can, yes. There does not seem to be as much water here as one like you would like. But still, I suppose that it is better than nothing, hm?
[As they continue walking, she turns her head to look at him briefly, before turning away again with another small smile.]
You've been drinking, Captain. Are you quite sure you will be able to perform all of your duties as necessary?
Reply
It is by far, better than nothing. I've had nothing once, and never do wish for it again. It was dreadful.
[And was it. He still suffers an occasional bought of madness brought upon by being in the Locker. But it's all benign, and most often it is useful. Though weird.
The captain is not so oblivious as to not notice when she looks up at him and then looking away. He is not as quick though, to catch her eye and return the smile, though there is one that plays upon his own lips.]
I will be more than able to perform all of my duties as necessarily needed, and more, shall the situation call for it.
Drink is better than water and keeps the devil at bay.
[He winks and grins cheekily.]
Least, that's what they say.
Reply
And more? [She looks at him again, one eyebrow raised, holding her gaze on his face this time.] You don't suppose that we will be attacked by any kind of lake-monster, do you? Or perhaps something different.
[She leaves that for him to take meaning from however he wishes.]
Reply
[Both eyebrows go up.]
I truly hope not!
[Oh. Good. Gods. No. He's had enough of monsters under the water, thank you ever so kindly. The thought of another kraken, made of stone perhaps, is enough to make him miss a step on his walk and near enough to sober him completely.]
If there is indeed some gnarly beastie living under the waves of that calm spit of water, I've yet to have a sign of it. I am inclined to say, 'no' but, there is all manner of strange happenings here.
In the event of such, I say a hasty retreat would be in order.
[He shakes his head, dreads swinging with the motion.]
We'll need a lot more than our wits about us, in the event of such. We'll need gunpowder, lots of it. And I'm fresh out.
[Sorry, Little Boy, the subtlety there is lost over the far more pressing matter of water monsters of which he has a unhealthy personal interest in. Any other time and he might have responded with something charming back.
Not today.]
