Teukkie and Kangin rushed out of the fancy restaurant. The waiter had to remind them of their bill. Teukkie is constantly on her feet after the phone call.
“My Sungmin!” She continuously muttered.
Kangin was also distressed. The main reason was, of course, his darling daughter. Also he was worried about the expensive dinner he just had. Is he going to be able to keep it down with Leeteuk’s driving? Only time will tell.
The 15 minute journey down to the local martial arts studio seemed like hours. Both Teukkie and Kangin were anxious about their daughter’s welfare.
Teukkie clumsily parked the car on the road side and burst into the studio. “SUNGMIN!”
A broken Sungmin was placed at the corner of the room, surrounded by her friends Sunny, Amber, Luna and Hyunah.
Leeteuk rushed to her daughter. “Sungmin! What happened?”
Sungmin smiled feebly at her mother. “I wasn’t concentrating when I was throwing a punch.”
Leeteuk looked at the others. The other 4 girls avoided eye contact with her.
“Teukkie, dear I think we should take her to the hospital first.” Kangin walked over after talking to the teacher. “She needs to be treated right now.”

Finally after long hours at the hospital, Teukkie, Kangin and Sungmin arrived back at the house.
It was agonizing and painful for all three of them. Physically for Sungmin, who had to have her bones broken again in order to patch it up properly. As well as mentally for the parents, who waited nervously in the waiting room.
Everyone gathered around Sungmin to see how she broke her arm.
“How did you do that?” Asked Donghae
“Did it hurt?” Asked Kibum
“Can I sign your cast?” Asked Henry
“Please leave your sister alone.” Teukkie told the younger ones. “She needs to rest.”
Sungmin looked at her siblings. “Karate is hardcore.” And then headed for her room.
She didn’t come down for dinner.
***
During the middle of the night, when everyone in the house is sound asleep, Sungmin’s arm tortured her awake. She crept down the stairs where she left her medicine.
“Welcome back down.” Heechul was sat at the kitchen table with glass of milk in her hands and cookies on a plate next to her. “So how did you break that arm?”
Sungmin ignored her sister. She was in no mood to talk to Heechul right now.
“I know it’s not karate.” Heechul stood up and offered Sungmin a piece of cookie.
Sungmin looked at her sister.
“Some sugar will do you good.” Heechul pushed the plate towards Sungmin. “I don’t offer this often.”
Sungmin felt a wave of hunger and decided to take a cookie.
“Well if you need to talk, you know where I am.” Heechul finished her milk and shoved the plate of cookies into Sungmin’s hands.
Sungmin finished the rest of her cookies with tears down her cheeks.
The only reason she broke her arm was because Jessica and Gahee were provoking her with Kyuhyun’s cold shoulder reaction she received in school. She lost her temper when punching, and her hand happens to be in the wrong position and punching the wrong thing. *CRACK* was all it took.
Sungmin felt that she has to be the dumbest person right now. Letting Cho Kyuhyun take over her mind, and resulted in a broken limb.
Sungmin finished the last bits of her cookie and her medicine and went back to bed. Saturday tomorrow, a lie in is what she needed right now.

*BEEP**BEEP**BEEP*
The sound of reversing car woke Sungmin from her disturbed sleep. Sungmin looked at her clock and groaned, it was only 8:30. What the hell in the world a truck would be doing in the neighbourhood so early in the morning? Sungmin crawled to the window to see what’s going on. Then she remembered, today was the day she got new neighbours. But why do they have to moving in so early in the morning on a Saturday?
Sungmin got herself dressed. Might as well, since she is already up. She went downstairs and saw Teukkie umma already up.
“Sungmin, you must be hungry, you didn’t even eat dinner yesterday.” Teukkie placed a bowl of beef stew porridge (congee). “You need you iron.”
Sungmin picked up the spoon with her left arm and slowly ate her breakfast.
*Ding dong*
“Sungmin can you get the door. I think it’s the new neighbours!” Teukkie yelled from kitchen. “I still need to cook your brothers’ breakfast.”
Sungmin put down hi spoon and went to get the door.
“Good morning, I’m the new neighbour. My name is Cho…”
“Kyuhyun?!” Sungmin finished off the sentence.
“Sungmin?!” Kyuhyun stared up in awe. “You live here?!”
Sungmin looked at the boy who gave her the cold shoulder treatment only 2 days again, and could possibly be the reason behind her broken arm. “Good morning.” Was all she managed to choke out.
Before Kyuhyun could say any more, Sungmin ended their conversation. “I will get my mother.” And walked back into the house, leaving Kyuhyun at the door.
Leeteuk came and greeted Kyuhyun’s parents (who came briefly to meet the neighbours). Sungmin hide in the kitchen, ate her porridge, then retreated back to her room to finish homework.
***
Kyuhyun wasn’t offended by Sungmin’s behaviour. He knew he deserved it. Oh! How he regretted his treatment to her at the canteen the other day in school. The more Kyuhyun thought about it, the guiltier he felt.
To keep his mind off things, he went to his bedroom to unpack. Maybe some physical labour might help him to keep things off of his mind.
Kyuhyun took boxes of his things up to his room. It was a spacious room. Plenty to put out his stuff. He opened the window to let the morning air in, but he found something better.
The best view he could ever ask for.
Beyond the window, only a few meters away, there lies a studying Sungmin.
A shimmering pink glow (could be due to the room colour) surrounded Sungmin as she typed away on her laptop.
Kyuhyun felt his cheeks turning hot.
This could be the beginning of new chapter in his life.
