"Well," says Kyuhyun, standing up and brushing off dirt from his clothes, "no where am I?" Around him are walls with no edges, lines that curve, and a ceiling that stretches up into sky. Behind him is night, ahead of him the sun, bright and high above him. He steps forward, making his way slowly into the open air where the walls drop off into nothing, and field and flowers spring up around him.
"What are you doing here?" someone asks and Kyuhyun turns left, then right, but he is alone. "You're not supposed to be here."
Kyuhyun keeps moving forward, intent on ignoring voices that come from unseen origins. A stream crops up in front of him and as he lifts his legs to step over it, it shift and expands and becomes the sea. "Great," he says, moving back. The tide surges up and into his shoes. "Really, great."
The beach is littered with shells of ever color and shape and size. Little crabs move around him, their rainbow colors gleaming in the afternoon light, and they stop at once, forming a pattern. "Hello!" they spell out. Kyuhyun walks along the beach, wondering what he's fallen into.
"You should go back," says the voice, and Kyuhyun is certain he recognizes it.
"I'm not talking to you unless you show yourself."
The voice comes from everywhere and says, "I'm not showing myself unless you talk to me."
Kyuhyun stops, frowning. "Stop being so difficult, you're always like this."
The sun shivers and dims, then shatters, the pieces breaking off and falling to the ground like glitter. In it's place the moon grows, casting a silver light on the water. "You shouldn't be here," says Changmin, pulling his boat ashore, then watching it sink down into the sand. "You should leave."
"I don't think you're supposed to be here either," says Kyuhyun.
Changmin shrugs and sets off down the beach with Kyuhyun trailing behind. "It seemed easier, I think. With everything."
In the distance Kyuhyun can see a small cottage. It takes them only a moment to get there and the size has not change with proximity, remaining small enough to fit only one of his sister's childhood dolls. "Well, come in," says Changmin
