The sun is peeking through the slats of the blinds when a blaring honk sends Suhoon scrambling out of bed and to the window. His digital clock glows 4:36AM in neon green and he frowns. No one should be awake at this time, let alone honking outside an apartment building. He hesitates before opening the blinds, but another blast of the horn follow, impatient and painful in his tired ears.
He bends the slats down with his fingers and peers outside. A figure sits on a motorbike, the light blue, rounded kind that delivery boys use and, as a certain someone always says, do nothing to help one "get the chicks." That certain someone straddles the bike with his helmet still strapped on his head. Suhoon doesn't need to see the face to know who the offender is. Even from this distance, he can picture perfectly the smug grin plastered across the boy's face.
After pulling a sweatshirt over his t-shirt and pajama pants, Suhoon exits his apartment and pads carefully down the metal stairs to the first floor so as to not create even more of a ruckus. Another blast of the horn almost make him topple down the last few steps, but he catches himself in time.
Hyunmin is already looking in his direction when he steps onto the sidewalk. He rolls forward on the bike, kicking the ground with his battered sneakers. Sure enough, he's grinning when he looks up at his friend, his bright, fully awake eyes gleaming in the early morning light.
"Morning," he says, his voice a low whisper now that he's done bothering the entire universe in order to bother one single boy. "Hop on."
Suhoon cocks his head and mumbles a quiet, "No," before turning back toward the apartment. The horn beeps once, quick and relatively quiet, in a warning. Hyunmin's smile is practically from ear to ear when Suhoon turns back around with a glower.

"We're getting out of here," Hyunmin breathes.
