argh i'll fix this up some other time
really, they've all changed. it's nothing earth-shattering and everyone does it. you can never say that you're exactly the same person that you were two years ago, just like you can't jump back in time and do shit like tell your younger self the answers to that one exam or punch that asshole in the face before he can punch you in the future. or stick a strip of duct tape over your fellow member's mouth before he learns how to open it.
sometimes taemin wishes he could, though.
present minho is alright, he guesses. all that nudging out of his shell definitely worked: the boy's practically a motormouth nowadays, as if he's making up for all that time he spent contemplating each word, each little gesture in front of the camera.
perhaps it worked a little too well.
present minho is fun. he's not as uptight about being a dork anymore (even though most of the time they pretend not to notice) and he's always affectionate. taemin takes comfort in that if that's one thing that will never change, it's minho's need to touch someone.
only now it's kind of extended to "anyone". not just him anymore, back when they were still fledglings with neat hair and wide eyes and awkward smiles at the camera. back when it was the two of them, hiding behind the others, reaching out to each other in an attempt to affirm some semblance of constancy in the crazy world they had been thrust into.
speaking of the devil. here's minho now, expertly styled hair and dashing debonair smile, every bit the flaming charisma he's been molded into. his eyes are still wide with excitement, but he's talking about something now. taemin can't really tell.
without warning, taemin reaches up to kiss minho. he closes his eyes, lets himself drown in the sensation of minho's lips stuttering to a halt before moving tenderly against his own.
okay, so there were two things that would never change.

there are a few things i wanted to fix before the deadline, but i'm really happy you enjoyed it. there's such a gap between debut!minho and present!minho - i'm glad the contrast came out well. thanks, anon!
