shinee yugioh

when jinki hands him a deck of cards one morning and says "do you believe in the heart of the cards?", jonghyun assumes it's some creepy and badly executed joke the rest of shinee has decided to play on him. he even has half the mind to tell them that getting jinki to do the confronting was the worst idea when it came to pranks.
he settles for winking knowingly at jinki and taking the cards with a sarcastic and overly cheesy "i do indeed believe in the heart of the cards, hyung".
jonghyun's expecting a kibum to pop out of nowhere, laughing and clutching at minho and taemin so when there are no three dongsaengs with cameras and streamers and banners, jonghyun is the slightest bit suspicious.
but mostly he doesn't really care. he's ready to go to bed anyway so he winks again at jinki and then yawns lazily, scratching at his stomach before making his way over to the bedrooms.
two things happen at once:
1) the door to the apartment opens and minho kibum and taemin announce their arrival in obnoxious tones.
2) jonghyun drops a card halfway across the living room and bends down to pick it up.
except it's face up and there's now a giant hologram creature monster thing floating above it.
jonghyun doesn't remember screaming or "falling to the ground like a little girl" as minho later puts it but he imagines it must have happened because his next memory is waking up to a living room with two giant hologram creature monster things and the cards jinki had given him no longer strewn across the floor but organized into two separate decks. one sits close to him, and the other across the living room, in the hands of four shockingly calm-looking shinee members.
jonghyun wants to shriek something like what the fuck guys but kibum holds up a hand to silence jonghyun's gaped mouth.
"you have to finish the game, hyung!" taemin says, looking far too interested and cheerful for the situation.
jonghyun splutters a bit - okay, maybe more than a bit - and jinki looks at him solemnly. jonghyun wants to wipe that expression off his face and make him smile like a five year old.
"pick up seven cards, jonghyun-ah. it's yu-gi-oh!"
