Jinki doesn't know what he wants to say but he figures he'll try. "You know, you know I love you and I'm sorry, I really am, I didn't- you don't- please, you have to believe me, it's been 14 years, I wouldn't," Jinki gulps, this is all coming out wrong, "I wouldn't give it all up, you know I've only ever, with you, you know it-"
Kibum finishes his plate and sets it down before taking off his rubber gloves. He turns around slowly and Jinki tries to force the lump in his throat to get out, please so he can explain why he did it and why he was going to stop and how it wasn't the same because nothing could be the same as Kibum and anything really to keep Kibum right in this apartment with him.
Instead, Jinki gets out another, "You know I-" and then stops because Kibum is finally looking at him, expression smoothly shutting down, a fanciful habit picked up from years of hiding himself. Jinki knows Kibum knows that Jinki hates it when he does that and tries not to think what it means.
In the tiniest of milliseconds, Kibum falters a bit from the facade and it's only because Jinki's known him for so long and touched every millimeter on that face that Jinki catches it.
"If you were unhappy," Kibum's voice sounds, small and distant, pleading almost, but there - not wavering, never wavering, "you could have just said so."

oh i'm so glad you liked that, i felt like i was being overly dramatic and to a certain extent, i didn't want jinki to be a complete bumbling idiot so idk :( looking for middle ground is hard :( thank you ;___;

He doesn't have to be an idiot to not know what to say. I like when characters are a bit unsure, especially in a situation like this, something out of the every day and emotionally-charged.
Still ;________; anon. Will you write more of this story? I really want to know if/how they fix this.

this is very true! ig i just wanted to make sure i stayed on the right side of the line between the two? idk sobs :( thank you really. and i agree, i tend to write far too much when it comes to emotional or what i consider serious situations because i always feel like things should be dragged out and slowed down and sometimes i worry about going too slow idk, like if i finished this scene, it probably wouldn't really be resolved, one of them would just say let's take some time away from each other or something and then i have no idea what i would do :|
;_____________; tbh, i originally wanted to write a fic with this scene near the climax/end and basically detail how onew cheats and why and that whole process there, then key finding out and the clash, and then some sort of resolution or non-resolution idk :( but it would just be so long ;___; maybe i will write bits and pieces when i am bored, but i just, this idea is so !!! in my head that i don't think i would do it justice or really ever finish it :(

Oh, anon, I do the same thing. My instinct is to drag things out. I like stuff that takes a while to resolve, though. So many writers take what should be somewhat difficult situations and make it look easy and natural, and I don't think it always is.
Do keep working on it! I'm sure if you give yourself enough time you'd be able to do it justice. I'd love to see more of this. ♥

i'm actually not a big jongyu fan but idk, for some reason, it just feels right? sobs ;___; is lame :( also like i originally was going to have kibum be the one cheating but then i thought about it and idk, i figured things would be more complicated and interesting and it would be interesting to figure out the resolution idk :(

i'm huge fan of both jongyu and onkey (but jongkey not so much, cries ;_;), so i am all for the completion of this story, anon. please please please tell me you'll finish this someday? :(
i think convention would have it that kibum be the cheating one, but i think it would definitely add more spice and an x factor to your story if jinki did it. idk, people may think it's uncharacteristic, but that's where the writer's skill comes in, making the audience believe that while he loves kibum, he is capable of straying.
ok sobs i'm not making any sense, but the point is i'm cheering you on, anon. i will wait for this! ♥
