Lee Jinki in A New Kind Of Tripping; 2a/3 anonymous July 24 2011, 12:53:24 UTC
2a/3

The stereo is rolling out the smoothest sounds from the ‘80s and Jonghyun’s head is tipped back into the fading sunshine. The wind is washing over him in waves and his eyelids are flickering behind his sunglasses. His shirt is lying draped over Jinki’s shoulder and he rolls to the side to give it an approving look. Jinki’s ample limbs are flexed in concentration, Adam’s apple working furiously in his throat as the sweat paints his skin slick.

Jonghyun’s licks his lips and tastes Jinki’s lunch. The last of the day’s heat feels like its pouring down his chest, sinking into his thighs and going straight to his-

“Kim Jonghyun, if you jerk off next to me while I am driving I will castrate you with this very car.”

The impending crisis had been evaded when Jinki had pulled over, allowing Jonghyun to pluck a beer from the drinks cooler in the trunk. The younger returned to his seat pressing the ice-cold bottle against his crotch, making obscene noises and enjoying the flush lapping at Jinki’s neck.

He was done with the beer now but wiggling his tongue down the bottle’s neck and Jinki was unsure if Jonghyun was sexually frustrated or just immature. It was kind of disturbing that the two might resemble each other in the first place.

The remnant of the sun was licking the horizon and the sky was absurd; it was pink, purple, orange. It was beautiful and Jinki made Jonghyun switch with him so he could enjoy it without feeling like his tense bones and taut muscles would shatter at one poke. The road was broad and empty as they barreled down it, the first of the evening air whipping past and Jinki saw the sunset disappear behind his eyelids first instead. Driving was tiring especially when you were terrible at it. At least we’re still alive, he thinks before letting sleep claim him.

When Jonghyun wakes him up he sees stars. They’re on a quiet suburban street and languidly cruising past neat rows of houses. The night is everywhere and living room windows glow warmly in the dark. Jinki is surrounded by Jonghyun and domesticity and he idly thinks of the day when he could introduce the two.

“Jonghyun,” he murmurs, brushing his arm with two fingers. “Your man boobs would look so good in a wedding dress.”

“I hate you.”

“Mmm, sure you do,” Jinki sits up straight and winces at the soreness. That nap hadn’t been doing much for his back it would seem. “Where are we?”

“We’ve entered the town alright, but from the wrong side I think. I might have taken one exit too early so we’re in the outskirts I’m guessing?” Jonghyun frowns, tongue between his teeth as he makes the car hug the pavement and brings it to a stop under a street lamp. “Check the map?”

It emerges that they’re on the other end of town from their proposed motel. Jinki tries to be angry at Jonghyun but fails. They’re both hopeless at things like coordination and direction anyhow. Instead he quietly gets behind the wheel and begins combing around for the closest place to spend the night. As they get closer to the town’s center they begin to see more signs of life; the occasional club oozing bass or a group of people out for the night hurriedly crossing the road. Jinki asks one such group for some accommodation tips and twenty minutes later they settle into the parking lot of a little inn. It isn’t big and if he had to be honest it’s kind of seedy but they’re both impatient to quit the car.

Jonghyun books them a room with a double bed and something in Jinki’s stomach sinks but he ignores it, puts on a smile to ask the receptionist about good restaurants. He slips his hand into Jonghyun’s as they walk to dinner, smile turning real when Jonghyun squeezes back.
