Hyunseung was thankful that the headmaster put him in the Soarele Dormitory-though he almost put him in the Luna Dormitory because of his unique personality-with Doojoon, Dongwoon, and Kikwang. As he quietly arranged the things on his nightstand, he suddenly remembered that a close friend of his studied in the same school.
To: Yang Yoseob
Msg: Yoseob-ah, mianhae. I was put in the Soarele Dormitory.
From: Yang Yoseob
Msg: Why? I was thinking you’d be put in the Luna Dormitory or the Stele Dormitory, to be honest. You seem to fit better with the Luna people. And your academics are at par with the Stele Dormitory’s standards.
To: Yang Yoseob
Msg: Are you saying that because you’re part of the Luna Dormitory or are you saying that because you actually are being honest?
From: Yang Yoseob
Msg: You are a jerk, hyung. LOL. Anyway, kind of both, actually. And… I was actually hoping that you and Junhyung-hyung-that bastard-could meet up again. Damn, I already told father to put you in Luna! He never listens!
To: Yang Yoseob
Msg: You sneaky devious bitch. LOL. Junhyung and I already talked with each other. I’ll tell you tomorrow over breakfast. For now, I have to get some rest. I’m a bit jet-lagged and I need to fix my body clock. And I can’t do it if you keep texting me.
From: Yang Yoseob
Msg: Good night, asshole~ Sleep tight.
Hyunseung tossed his phone in his bag and stared once again at the tattoo on his wrist. He pressed a thumb to it, remembering when he showed it to Junhyung after he got it.
“I was so stupid back in middle school.” He chuckled to himself. “I fell for him without knowing that it would hurt this much.”
With those thoughts in mind, he fell asleep.

He showered, dressed up, grabbed his backpack, and headed to the great hall for breakfast. He sat on his usual corner and ate alone quietly. That is, until somebody took his plate and ate his food.
“You never changed, Yoseob.” Hyunseung rolled his eyes.
“Why the fuck would I change, silly?” Yoseob laughed. “Anyway, you and Junhyung, details, now.”
“Hold your horses, nosy idiot.” Hyunseung shook his head in disbelief at how eager Yoseob was to hear what happened. “According to my dorm mates, you and Junhyung are close.”
“What? Where did they get that from?” Yoseob scoffed and grabbed a sausage from Hyunseung’s plate.
“Oh please, Yoseob.” Hyunseung crossed his arms. “Just be honest for one second, will you?”
They spent breakfast bickering and arguing about Junhyung. They agreed to settle everything at lunch when Doojoon approached Hyunseung to tell him they needed to get to class. Hyunseung hugged Yoseob goodbye before joining Doojoon and the rest of their friends.
“You know Yang Yoseob?” Doojoon blinked. “Wow, you are amazing.”
“I’m sorry, what?” Hyunseung blinked back.
“Yong Junhyung and Yang Yoseob are the most unapproachable people in this school. They’re the people nobody wants to cross-ever. And yet you fought with both of them!”
Hyunseung chuckled and unconsciously grabbed his wrist wondering whether or not Doojoon would understand the tattoo on it. Doojoon noticed this.
“Hey, that’s from the book!” Doojoon shouted as he took sight of the tattoo on Hyunseung’s wrist. “Distance will not tear us apart. This I promise you. -YJ.”
“That’s the last line.” Hyunseung chuckled awkwardly. “I see you’ve already finished it.”
“It was a great piece of work. YJ was extremely poetic.” Doojoon said as he smiled softly. “It seemed like he really loved whoever it was he wrote the book for. I wonder how he is now. I wonder if they were reunited. I wonder if he kept his promise.”
Hyunseung kept silent as Doojoon quoted lines from the book which made Hyunseung’s chest tighten. As they entered the Chemistry lab, Hyunseung immediately sat on the seat on the corner. He stiffened as soon as he had whiff of a familiar fragrance beside him. It was Junhyung-his smell. He knew because they had the same scent, the same perfume.
Hyunseung sighed heavily and faced the boy beside him. “Seriously, Junhyung-“
“I’m sorry, Seung.” Junhyung said as he bowed his head low. “I’m sorry I couldn’t keep my promise. And I’m sorry I got mad about you giving Doojoon that book.”
“It’s okay, Junhyung.” He replied casually. “You don’t have to apologize.”
“I have a question, Seung.”
“Go on.”
“If I were to make it up to you and show you how much I still love you, would you accept me? Would you give me another chance?”
“Junhyung-“
“Yes or no, Hyunseung.” He said as he pursed his lips. “That’s all I need.”
Hyunseung took a deep breath and glanced at Junhyung before writing in his notebook. Junhyung sighed heavily. He took that as a no. He was close to giving up-so close to giving up-until he noticed a piece of paper in front of him.
I never said I didn’t love you anymore, Jun. I’m just not sure if I still trust you.
And for the first time in five years, Junhyung smiled. He smiled and-without thinking-hugged Hyunseung tightly.

At the end of their Chemistry lecture, Hyunseung noticed a piece of paper inserted in his notebook as he was packing up.
He carefully unfolded it and smiled as he saw Junhyung’s unique but neat handwriting.
Mistakes are not made twice. This I promise you.
