There’s anticipation, and that’s what truly gets to people and tears them apart from the inside out, especially if they have someone in mind yet that someone has someone else in mind.
Goodness I love this sentence. I can't even begin to describe how much.

2010: the Christmas party. Mistletoe. Shim Changmin walked straight into Im Yoona underneath the mistletoe without noticing.
Exactly how I would have pictured them if they ever got together. Goodness, did the writer of this oneshot read my mind or something while I was dreaming away my OTP fantasies?

“I want to see you,” he breathes, and then stops to wait through her pause on the other end.

She’s crossing and uncrossing her legs, sitting on the counter now when she answers. A smile forms. “Then I’ll be there.”
How perfect is this dialouge? I mean, not just these two lines but everything. It was so realistic, I have to catch my breath.

For a moment, she thinks about arguing. She’s a big girl and she can pay for her own coffee. But she’s also a big girl ( ... )

I'm sorry this reply is so late! I've been a little MIA recently >.< but I am so relieved that you enjoyed this! I'll admit I did struggle a bit with the pairing but I like them and I wanted to challenge myself (and I didn't want to let you down by not writing your fic) so I gave it my best :)

Glad you liked Heechul's role! I've liked the idea of him being Yoona's confidant, too.

I haven't written many Changmin fics (or Changmin/Yoona at all), so this was a challenge but I'm glad you liked this :D
