Before Junhyung walks into the living room and announces that he's going to get a tattoo, Yoseob's only encounter with them is his mom's permanent eyeliner and eyebrows and maybe Gikwang's fake tattoo that he convinced the stylist noona to draw on his chest.

"You're gonna get a tat?" Gikwang asks, bouncing on the couch in excitement. "Is it gonna be like, a dragon fighting a tiger? Or a phoenix? Or a naked lady?"

"Um. No," Junhyung says.

"Where are you gonna get it?" Hyunseung asks.

"I was thinking my chest and my arm."

"You're gonna get two?" Yoseob asks.

"Uhhuh."

"Children," Doojoon admonishes. "Leave him alone."

They stick out his tongue at him. Yoseob resolves to bug Junhyung more after researching tattoos online.

He spends the next few hours Googling things like tattoo designs and how badly do tattoos hurt and tattoo aftercare.

Tattoos, Yoseob thinks, take a hell lot of work to take care of. Who'd remember to clean it and put lotion on it everyday? Besides, Yoseob doesn't think he could resist scratching it when it itches, and that, according to every site he's read, is bad. Very bad.

Yoseob sits back and decides that Junhyung is amazing for being able to get two tattoos. Maybe he'll get a tattoo one day. He doesn't know what, not yet, but he'll think of something.

"Hyung," Yoseob says, "Don't tattoos hurt?"

"I guess so," Junhyung says.

"And cost a lot."

"Mm."

"And take a long time to heal."

"Mm."

"And itch like heck."

Junhyung stares at him. "Don't you have anything better to do?"

"No."

After getting kicked out of the bedroom, Yoseob goes off in search of Doojoon.

"Hyung, are you gonna go with Junhyung-hyung when he gets his tattoo?"

"If he asks me to. But the company will probably tell me to go with him anyway." Doojoon stuffs a few more egg rolls into the plastic container and looks at its contents. "There."

"Is that Dongwoon's lunch?"

"Yes."

"Don't you think it'll be better to just give him lunch money?"

Yoseob ends up getting kicked out of the kitchen too.

"Hyung hyung hyung hyung hyung hyungggggg," Yoseob whines. "Can I go with you when you get your tattoos?"

"No," Junhyung says, not bothering to look up at the bouncing boy.

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease."

"No."

"Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"

"Because."

"Just let him go," Dongwoon mumbles into his pillow. "So he shuts up."

"Yeah! Let me go!"

Junhyung throws his pillow at Dongwoon.

"Is that a yes?"

"Yes, yes, fine."

Yoseob raises his fists in triumph and flops down to sleep.

"Is Yoseob coming?" Doojoon asks as he pulls on his shoes.

"Supposedly, but if we hurry and leave now, we can ditch him."

"I'm here!" Yoseob crows, coming into the living room.

Junhyung stares at him. "Damn."

Yoseob stares around the tattoo parlor when they enter. He doesn't realize how giddy he's acting until Doojoon tells him to stop bouncing or he'll end up knocking something over.

"People are going to think," Junhyung says drily, "that you're the one who's getting tattooed."

Yoseob blinks.

"Don't give him ideas," Doojoon warns jokingly. He's settled down in one of the chairs already, picking up a magazine with a half naked chick on the cover.

The tattooist comes into the lobby. "Yoon Junhyung, right?"

Junhyung nods. "Just a second." He turns to Yoseob. "Hey, just stay-"

"Ohmygod can I come watch him get tattooed?" Yoseob asks.

Junhyung groans; Doojoon stifles a laugh.

Blood wells up around the needle and Yoseob feels his eyes widen further. "Hyung, hyung, blood came out!"

Junhyung ignores him - or well, he seems to, because he calls for Doojoon.

"What?" Doojoon says as he walks over.

"Take your pet," Junhyung quips, jerking his chin in Yoseob's direction.

That wasn't really nice, Yoseob thinks, but the tattooist's exclamation draws his attention back to the tattoo. Which, now that the design's completely traced, looks majorly cool. A tattoo's sounding more and more appealing to Yoseob.

"How much does it hurt?" Doojoon asks.

"Not much," Junhyung answers.

"Woah, hyung!" Yoseob gasps. It sure looks it hurts. Well, that seals it. If Junhyung can get a tattoo without it hurting, he can bear to get a tattoo with it hurting a little bit. Besides, it's starting to look all 3D now, with the words getting filled in and everything. He tells his hyungs exactly that. "I want one! You're going to look so cool, hyung! I mean, cooler than you already do."

All he gets in response from Junhyung is a blink, but Doojoon has questions to ask. "Really? What would you get? Where? Don't you think it would hurt?"

Well, it would hurt, but that's the only answer Yoseob knows. He frowns. Where would he get it? On his neck? People got neck tattoos, didn't they? Or maybe on the foot, 'cuz foot tattoos looked cool - then he remembers that they hurt a lot. Yoseob wants it somewhere that won't hurt really really bad. Like Junhyung's. Oh, on his chest, like Junhyung's. Yeah, that's good.

"I'd endure the pain," he decides aloud, "and I'd get it right here." Yoseob taps the left side of his chest. "Near my heart, y'know? That'd be a good place. I'll be able to show it off, too, if I train more to make my chest more like Gikwangie's." Oh, but wait, isn't his image supposed to be all cutesy? Cutesy doesn't include tattoos; at least, Yoseob doesn't think so. "Can I do that, hyung?" he asks Doojoon, "Would that make me less cute?"

Doojoon reaches out to pat his head. "I'm sure you'll be fine."

Yoseob grins.

Junhyung pipes up. "What design would you get?"

Yoseob tilts his head. It'd be about something important, like his parents, or music...or Beast. Yeah, that was good, he's get a Beast-related tattoo. He thinks back to his research and remembers a popular design, the one of a six-pointed star. Six points, six members. Perfect.

"A star!" he tells Junhyung, shooting a victory sign at him. Junhyung and Doojoon look at him blankly. "Y'know, a star! A tattoo's for forever, so it should be my most important thing, right? So of course it's gonna be you guys! And instead of getting all your names or something like that, I'd just get a star with six points, one for each member."

Yoseob smiles, and it stretches wider when he gets smiles in return. Doojoon pats him on the back; so he has approval. Because he really wants to get one.

"You should," Junhyung says later when they're back in the car, heading home.

"Hm?" Yoseob turns away from the window and blinks at Junhyung.

"Get that tattoo, I mean." Junhyung shrugs. "I wish I'd thought of that."

"Yeah, it's a great idea isn't it!" Yoseob grins.

Maybe, soon, he'll go ask the company like Junhyung did, and they'll let him get the tattoo. Then it'll be him in the tattooing seat and Junhyung watching.
