I found out today that I was not sent a bill for the residential tax. Instead, it turns out that it is the economic stimulus payment for Japan. A whopping 12,000 yen, aka. $120. So, as a result, I now have $240 more than I thought I was going to have at the end of the month! Hooray for money to pay for my new apartment's security deposit.
Speaking of moving. I hate moving. There's all the packing. Then, there is the having to move a bunch of stuff, heavy and otherwise. Invariably, there is the eternal hassle of realizing that you have WAY more stuff than you imagined that you have and that you haven't nearly enough time to pack it. My situation is exacerbated by the fact that I must move 20 years of crap accumulated by other JETs. As such, I can't seem to develop the necessary motivation for the move. *sigh*
