Toe. Pick.

So I guess I haven't had a "real" update in a while that wasn't completely angsty or upsetting in some manner, so I'll jot down a few thoughts here...

Monday:
In a major funk, kind of have been all week, something to do with snacking too much and gaining a little weight and being the only single person I know. Yeah, so basically the usual funk. Anyway, Alana talked me in to heading out and so I went up and opted out of the skating to go have drinks and dinner at Bahama Breeze. I hadn't been since date party freshman year with Wes, and it was just as good as I remember. I accidentally got the Cubano sandwich (has pork) but I decided to stick with it, it was a sign. I'd been drifting my eyes back towards it and finally I just took it. I've also figured out that BB is a fairly decent deal on the food if you get the right thing, it's the drinks they gouge you on. Like, my sandwich was $8 and the drinks made up the rest of a $30 tab... and I wasn't drunk. Though the banana split shake thingy was so totally amazingly delicious.

After BB, Ihon talks me in to coming back and going to her friend's house with them for a while-- they have a really kickass bar in the basement and so we all had drinks and played black jack and poker and I came home and got to talk to Wes for a while and then went to bed.

Tuesday-Thursday:
Nothing terribly interesting except for the fact that Amy and I are going to take the USPS DOWN like a bitch.

Friday:
Girly hockey movie night and it was a BLAST. Wow, I had so much fun. I love Erin and Alana and Ihon (spelling, Alana?) is just asking for more trouble-- which, of course, means loads more fun. We watched Miracle (which was really excellent and proved that Alana and I don't even need a real hockey game to get all riled up), Cutting Edge (which was just so darn good the signature line warranted the subject), and part of the one, the only, the original Mighty Ducks (the one with Mike Modano, not Gretzky or Kariya).

Saturday:
Left there about 5a because I knew I'd be better driving when I was alert, albeit tired, rather than sleeping three hours in an unknown bed, waking up groggy, and driving 75 back in morning light. Got on the road and about five miles from Wade Green I ran in to fog and mist and semis going ridiculous speeds and then all of the sudden it started raining so it was raining and fogging and misting all at once like it can only do in North GA and so I finally hit it clear about 5 miles from the peremiter and got back in safe and sound around 6a. After taking a detour through Tech campus and by Phi Kap and running in to Clare and Omar on the front porch post-Clerks II screening.

Got up at 10, went and asked service guy about my emissions check and he said that the code wasn't listed, I'd have to go to Hyundai. Called Hyundai, they said come in on Monday morning. Whee.

Remembered I needed to get footies at Target, so I went and wandered around there for a while letting my laundry dry at home. Got home, took a thirty minute nap and headed over to the Rhodes sendoff party at Bobbo's house. It was a BLAST. I tell you, more young alumni need to come to these things. Me, Ben, and Josh, we're all over it.

Especially when Bobbo has a cooler of beer out for us.

Left there, came back to finish up laundry, went to work. Got there before Shannon, the new girl, and got a table to start the night. Things were looking promising what with the 12 top and the 5 top, but it was too good to last. I made a whopping $43 tonight, no thanks to the man who tipped me $1.16 on a bill that was $28.85. Oh yeah.

So, shitty night, I'm in a foul mood and new girl is trying to be best buddies, BFF, and I'm not having any of it.

Sit down to drink and read Bleak House a bit (and yes, that relaxed me) then went to Twain's where supposedly Luke and Santi were going to meet me shortly. Chatted with Emily S for a while and had a French Dip sandwich and then she left and randomly Ben Lee, Davey Courtright, Garrett Goss, and Raff Tabor came over and started chatting me up. I got caught up on all the lascivious Decatur gossip that made me remember why I didn't really like high school that much to begin with and Ben invited me up to have a drink with them at his house any night of the week. It was very strange.

And so here I am. Updating for you, dear reader, despite the fact that probably nobody read this entire thing.

It's OK, I don't blame you ;)
