Throne of Blood

I think I like that almost every haiku I got had something to do with the Stanley Cup-- makes me very amuseded indeed.

Also, for some reason, my LJ-cut and the HTML for this shit isn't working, so I'm just going to leave the haiku like they are. Fuckers.

Today my brother and I went to put more stuff in the storage unit since the realtor is coming next week to help us put the house on the market. We took a few boxes and mom's old exercise bike (think English...) which is joyous because if I'd stubbed my toes on that thing one more time it would have been scrap metal. Or "art" depending on how you look at it.

We got everything over there and in the unit just fine, but I didn't think twice about leaving my windows open when we were in since it was a little warm but there was a nice breeze. I pull out on DeKalb Industrial and I'm in front of the big Kroger and all of the sudden there's this massive wasp in my car! I almost hit someone because Casey and I are both allergic, but just as they were looking pissed they saw the wasp and looked as terrified as we did. We rolled our windows down and got in to the gas station at DeKalb Industrial and N. Decatur and opened everything up until he flew away. We then proceeded on to QT for a moving treat (sixty cent fountain drinks-- they need QT everywhere in this country) and I picked up some peach tea (YUM!) and some cheetos (FINALLY!). The guy behind the counter was very amused at the two redheads and without thinking said, "Thank you ladies" as we walked out the door and then quickly corrected himself, "Oh, and gentleman!" My brother was amused and kind of acted like he was going to start something and then the cashier played back, it was fun.

I also am addicted to the new Gnarles Barkley song, it's amazing. I have got to find it; if you have it, I command you to share.

Also good news on the apartment front: S-K's dad is being overprotective, so Amy and I lost the house, but she found us a really cute apartment at  Poplar and Cooper that has hardwood floors, old fashioned stuff, and they'll let us paint the walls (!!!!!!) so we're going to have a blast. I'll also have the companionship of one General Ziggy Stardust, which is super exciting because I really miss my kitty and it'll be nice to have one around. I'm still gonna get a fish, though, man I think that's going to be AWESOME. Ziggy's fairly active, so I bet he and a Beta will provide endless amusement for me.

If you really want to see it/get an idea of it

then go to apartments
then go to number 13
then go to St. Regis
then take the tour and that's about what our apartment looks like

Talk about stoked.

I think that's about it for now... now I shall go zone out on the couch and watch trashy afternoon TV. Oh yeah.
