Got back yesterday from LeakyCon 2013 in Portland, OR, where I finally had the chance to meet the lovely willow_wand and also Mayra (I can't seem to find your LJ). It's always wonderful to be surrounded by so many fellow HP geeks. I could feel my innate shyness getting worse at moments, though

YAY PORTLAND!! I felt really shy too, though. I have no pictures of awesome costumes because I was too much of a chicken to bother people for their pictures. It was awesome to hang out with you and Mayra (sirius_thoughts though.

PS. What kind of wings are those?

They're fried chicken wings that are seasoned with fish sauce and garlic. The side salad was nice, though I think the wings would be better with rice to help cut some of the saltiness.

I used to be like that, too, but I've gone to a couple cons and I've found that people REALLY like it when others ask to take their picture. At these big cons, a lot of the "professional" looking costumers expect people to take their picture, but mostly everyone else just gets really excited if you want their picture.

Stormtrooper doesn't mind unless he's late for a parade or something, so I try to only take pictures of the more amateur folks.

I'm working on a Slytherin costume for the con here in Aug/Sept and I am so excited about it. Maybe someone will take my pic.

My friend said the same thing, but there's a reason I'm not a Gryffindor. I'm a total coward. :P

If I go to LeakyCon again next year, I'd like to figure out how to make a Ravenclaw costume. A good looking one, not the cheesy one I use to be Hermione. Any chance you'd consider going to LeakyCon next year in Orlando?

Next summer. They haven't announced the dates just yet.

There's a good chance. My husband wanted to participate in the star wars weekends asst Disney next summer so maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be at the same time. I have a friend who quirks art Disney so I wouldn't mind exploiting that either lol
