Salted caramel

I've had regular caramel, like the stuff Brach's makes and is sold at the local supermarket, but I haven't had anything homemade.

So this weekend, I decided to try my hand at it, using a Good Eats recipe. Never having made candy before (I don't count fudge, as the recipe I use doesn't keep track of temperature), this was a bit different for me.

It's not fully cool enough to eat yet, but the bits I tried from the cookpot were quite good.


Once it's cool, I'll chop it up and wrap them in bits of parchment paper. I wonder how this stuff freezes?
