T minus two days

It is now two days into my vacation. Yesterday we went to Total Wine and spent almost $100 (which is very, very easy to do in Total Wine if you like booze/beer), and ran into Ken's friend Scott which was too funny because Ken had been trying to call him at work and didn't know that he had the day off too. Anywho we got a bottle of Baileys, Kahlua, Stoli Vanil (freaking delicious, a bottle of Reisling wine, a case of Red Stripe and a 12 pack of Heinekin Light. The Baileys and Kahlua came in a gift set with little glasses, which is handy because we don't have a lot of alcohol sized glasses.

Ken's parents gave us an $80 card to Sharper Image so we went there yesterday too, I found some flexible cutting boards that I've wanted for a while and they were on sale which is AWESOME. I love sales.

Oh yes, and the town center Target had the Easy Bake Oven I went to three stores looking for last week, and finally gave up on and bought something else. GRR. Although, the Easy Bake has changed quite a bit, and I think it's a microwave now? Not the lightbulb glory that I recall from my youth. Sad! So even if I had found it, I probably wouldn't have bought it anyway because it's a freaking microwave, for pete's sake.

Still not feeling Christmasy, but kind of trying. Ken's parents are going to be coming over here for Christmas dinner, and we don't know what we're cooking. No one can agree on what to have! We decided to go Italian and do something like fettucine alfredo or stuffed shells or something. Although, probably both because half of the company doesn't like fettucine and half doesn't like stuffed shells. Bah, humbug!!

I trained my temp replacement on Thursday, and now I have that feeling like I forgot something vitally important. I don't think I really did, but I have that feeling because I am a control freak and I haaaate leaving my desk in the hands of someone else, because I just know I'll come back and find it in ruins. Ruins, I tell you! I'll probably end up calling to check up on wednesday.
