R.I.P.
This morning we found one of our bunnies, kuro-chan, dead.
He was pretty cool, and very stiff, but serene. Kozy said that he was probably happier now (he was kind of a grumpy bunny).
Cinnamon came up and kissed him on the face, paying his last respects.
Although Cinnamon seems to realize that Kuro-chan is happier this way, it is still hard to let go of your life mate. I know I would be devastated if I lost kozy. I just wouldn't be able to go on.
THis was ami-chan's first time seeing a dead body. Being a kitten still, she didn't know what to make of it, but seemed to understand that the mood was heavy.

Goodbye Kuro-chan. THank you for the years of inspiration. kozyndan might not exist if you and Cinnamon had not come into our lives. You will not be forgotten.
Now we are wondering what we are supposed to do with him. Just throw his carcass in the trash? Bury him in the yeard? Drss him up in dolly clothes and take pictures of him?
We have been wanting to get bunny shaped book ends to go on top of our book shelf. I wonder if maybe I can take him to a taxadermist and get him stuffed, cut in half, and have the halves mounted on to wood...
