Ok so yesterday i guess that i was really negative about SL, and after thinking about it i realize that Sarah Gray was right some what. Not about my grammar, but instead about how we are overly critical of ourselves and eachother. I would however go for the approach that it is more of a perception problem. We do, do great things, but because we are the amazing individuals we are, we try to be the best and make the world a better place in one sitting and even for us that is not that easy to do. Because of this we get discouraged, and that causes us to see ourselves as failures. Also for alot of people who have just joined the organization, it is different last year SL was able to disguise what it truly was...one or two ppl doing all the work. It was soo good at disguising itself that those who just joined didn't realize the problems that did exist. For those of us who were there, notice significant change but others are just brining them down, so its kinda of liek depression is contageous, so ne way. And now, we are creating the perception to the Students that we are push overs, and that we are not to be taken seriously, and honestly i think it is because the two head prefects we have now, and the department heads we have now (so basically the whole team) has more love for the welfare of the Studnet Body then ever before that we are not like certain past head prefects that were bitches and made sure everyone knew who was boss, and told everyone what to do. So ppl think they can walk all over us, and the other reason is cuz were too busy being hard on ourselves to actual do work sometimes. So i know what i have said is kinda jumbled up and hard to follow, so let me break it down for you... Student Life is incredible, we forget that sometimes and what the problem is, is the way we view ourselves has changed, we think that we have to solve world hunger or somehthing one day and solve the oil/gas crisis the next, and even though someday this group just might be the ones to do all those things we can't do them now, we have to realize that we are still human, and that instead of moping around we should do something. And for the Student Body, we kinda have to be me more like demanding of them, i mean we can't be tyrants but we cant be pushovers either. What we need is a meeting, a long meeting where everyone can figure out what their responsibilities are, and so that we can learn to become a team again.
i know this was really jumbled but thats what my mind is like
...ooh a bird....
o hey, ne way
bye
