Well, as for the friends question. It depends.
First of all, it depends on who exactly the involved friends are. If it is Kermit the Frog and Piggy (the Pig) then you should be ashamed for even considering feeling left out whatsoever. If it's President Bush and Tom Brady... well you should be happy that you arent forced to endure any more witless conversation than necessary. On the other hand if it is Mrs. Fields and Auntie Anne conspiring behind your very back: well, THEN you've got something to worry about. Even worse, if it was Mrs. Peacock and the wrench in the dining room, by golly gee, you might just have to commit suicide.
It also depends on WHERE these so-called "FRIENDS" were going. Now, if it was to the dumpster down the street, I'm sure you wouldn't mind too much, now would you? Or they could be going to gynecologist together (bet you wouldn't mind missing that either right?) But if this trip was to... say, Ireland. Well, then, you have my permission to burn them at the stake, whoever the felons may be. If your "friends" were planning on travelling to the next galaxy without you, well don't worry, just spy on them, find out all of their plans, kill them, dispose of the mutilated bodies, and travel into space. And have fun doing it :)
