Disneyland pics!
Hey guys! I went to Disneyland yesterday as an early 18th birthday present, and we stayed ALL DAY :Db Got there shortly after it opened(8:20-8:30ish) and stayed until midnight! \o/ Long day indeed XD Passed out not long after getting home around 2:30 in the morning XD And now I shall attempt to recap the day XD But first, pictures!
Ok, so.... when we first got to Disneyland, our first stop was the Emporium so mom, my bro, and I could get new plastic sleeves to hold our tickets/fastpasses/etc. Mikala was happy because, as soon as we walked in, there was a shelf of Nightmare Before Christmas stuff including a plush of the Demon Teddy. which her mom had been looking for forever. So she bought that as an anniversary present for her mom.
Then we headed over to Tomorrowland to go on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, but after Mikala and I got fastpasses for Space Mountain. Got our picture with Buzz, defeated Zurg in Astro Blasters. Then we decided to kill time before our fastpass return time came on Autopia. My stupid car tried stalling at one point. Thankfully it was only my brother behind me. After that, Space Mountain. Then we headed over to New Orleans Square to go on Haunted Mansion Holiday since I had never been on it. In my defense, we last went during the holidays in 2000 for my 8th birthday and they didn't start doing the Haunted Mansion Holiday until the year AFTER.
Ok, let's see... After that, we went on Pirates. After that, I think we were headed to go to Fantasyland when I happened to see one of the cast members(still in New Orleans) who had the "Ask me about characters" button on. So I'm like "Which characters...?" as I'm trying to see past the tree. First thing I spot? Black pinstripe suit. It was Jack and Sally! So I quickly got Mikala's attention and pointed them out. Of course, she was all "O____O MUST GET PICTURE!". Unfortunately, the line had already been cut off for that one so we would have to come back. So we headed over to Fantasyland to see Rapunzel and Flynn and go on Small World. Found out Rapunzel wasn't supposed to be available until Jack and Sally were, so we asked when the next time she'd be back was.
Went back to New Orlean's, waited near where we had seen Jack & Sally before. Time they were supposed to be out rolled around, still nothing. Finally Mikala grudgingly gives up and we go to leave. Shortly after, she spots them near the Rivers of America and we run to get into line. Let's not get started on how she nearly got a heart attack when the castmember said they'd be cutting off the line where it already ended and asked us not to let people cut in front of us.
Went and had lunch in Tomorrowland then headed back to Fantasyland to go see Rapunzel but stopped to get a picture with Alice first. Mom gives up while in line for Rapunzel and leaves us to stand there while she went to go stake out a spot for the parade near Small World. It was fair, it was the three of us who wanted to see Rapunzel anyway XD Got pictures with her, rushed over to the parade route, couldn't find mom, ended up in an ok-but-wish-it-could've-been-better spot to see the parade, met up with mom afterwards(yay for cellphones), and then got in line for Small World.
Went on that and then headed to Downtown Disney to check what time Rainforest Cafe estimated not having a huge-ass line. Around 8-ish they said, so we headed over to California Adventure 'cause I wanted to see Aladdin one last time since supposedly it's leaving soon. In all honesty, I thought it had already, but I'm very happy it hadn't. After that, went on Tower of Terror with Mikala since she went on Small World with me. Mom and Ryan went to go try to get fastpasses for the World of Color, but they were out. Stopped in the ElecTRONica area after that so Mikala could get some picture for her dad before we met back up with mom and Ryan to go ride Soarin' Over California.
Went to go get dinner at Rainforest Cafe after that, decided during dinner that we really didn't want to hike over to Paradise Pier to see World of Color, so when we were done, we headed back to Disneyland so we could ride Haunted Mansion one more time since Mikala wanted me to see the mansion at night. Mom and Ryan had stopped by the bathroom while Mikala and I went to go get in line. As we're nearing the gates of the mansion, an announcement was made that Fantasmic would be starting soon. Mikala's eyes widened and she went "O__O Did they say Fantasmic?" Of course, I replied with "No, they said World of Color :| Yes, they said Fantasmic." So we flagged down mom and Ryan and got the best spot we could to see it. Good show o/ I could feel the heat of the flames on my face :Db
After that, went on Haunted Mansion Holiday one last time then decided to head out. Stopped by the Emporium one last time to see if they had any Tangled stuff. Didn't, so we left the park and went to the World of Disney store. Of course, at first we were wondering if we were going to even be able to get in 'cause most of the doors were already closed. We did and it's a good thing because I would have been pissed if we hadn't since Ryan and I hadn't gotten to do any shopping yet. Of course once we're in, I'm not finding anything I wanted because even tho I'm turning 18 Friday, I wanted Rapunzel doll. So I'm about ready to break down and have a fit because not only am I tired, but I thought I wasn't going to be able to get anything I wanted since we had come for my birthday sand mom said I could get something as long as it wasn't over $20. FINALLY, I headed back to where the other princess dolls were and found her. Allelujah XD Ryan got a Perry the Platypus that makes noise. Paid, got on the tram back to the parking structure, and came home.
