Two updates on ONE day! I've been waiting with this update on purpose! :D It's a EXTRA chapter that I dadicate to Ueda.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAT-CHAN! <3

Ryo and Ohkura is in it too and there are a slight development in the story. If you don't like Ueda and thinks that this is a wasted chapter I can't stop you from thinking so, but I really like this chapter that is filled with angst. I hope you'll read it. And BTW, just so you know and can imagine it better. The song that Ryo hear later on, is the piano version of Utada Hikaru's “Prisoner of love” that was used in Ryo's drama “Last Friends” Now I hope you'll enjoy reading this special chapter.

Chapter 9 - The Angel

He wakes up feeling a tad heavier than usual, his confusion as to why swiftly clears when he see Ohkura's sleeping figure leaned over his bed, making Ryo's legs and lower body warm under the pressure. He smiles as he watch the sleeping doctor in silence. After only a few minutes he can feel movements from the sleeping man.

As he watch the other stretch and yawn he can't help but to feel amused. “It's not good for you to sleep like that.” Ohkura turn his head in his direction, and Ryo can almost hear the snap of the others neck. “Whoa, you surprised me. Why are you awake?” Smirking to himself he can't help but to tease Ohkura some. “Maybe because you're so fat?” To his utter annoyance the comment didn't have the effect he expected. “Why are you laughing? I just called you fat!” The doctor didn't stop his giggling. “Well, I just can't help but so smile at such a weak insult.” Not according to his plan, instead of Ohkura it was now he who was pouting. Usually his poisonous comments flew out per automatic without the slightest strain on his brain, but at the moment he can't think of anything at all and then settles for a simple “Shut up!”

' The first session with Maruyama-sensei is over and Ryo decides to try to get back to the hospital building on his own, they had finished early and thus Ohkura would not be here yet for quite some time. Also it was just across the streets as the hospital and the clinic worked combined together. Ohkura had helped him here and he was thankful, but he was an independent individual and he also wanted to prove himself that he could go forward on his own.

He'd said goodbye to Maruyama and declined his offer of following him to the exit. Now Ryo was moving his wheelchair through the white clinical corridors. There was several doors on each side and he figured they were the rooms of more permanent patients. Ryo shivered a he heard a scream from the floor above. A mental institution was not a place he would visit unless he was forced to, which he had been.

As he kept trudging forward he suddenly came to a halt as he heard music being played. He stood still just listening for a while. Someone was playing a piano and unconciously he started to move towards the source. He could hear it clearer now, the notes was telling him a story. A tale of sadness and desperation. When he turned a corner he could see the piano, it was the only black thing in this white world and the contrast was made even obvious when he noted the one playing this heartbroken tune.

It took a while before Ryo came to the realization that it was a human sitting before him, he'd a first thought it might have been an angel descended to earth to make sound of all the patients minds, taking their pain and turning it into music.

The man was dressed in bright white from head to toe, the sun shining in through a single window making him look like he was brightly shining. With closed eyes the heavenly creature kept playing as his thing fingers moved on their on barely touching the keys making out-worldly sounds leaving ghost trails on the piano as the piece came to an end. For a while the man just sat there in the now deafening silence, still eyes closed with his hands just millimeters over the white keys.

Ryo could just stay as he were too afraid to brake the magic to move a muscle. Then a voice, quiet but clear broke the silence. “Did you like it?” As no words would form in Ryo's head he just nodded once to indicate a yes. A bright smile surface on the angel. “It's called “Prisoner of love”. I always play it once when I come here.” Every time he came here... So at least he now knew that this wasn't one of the regular nutcases, it made him happy that this man wasn't locked up in here hidden from the world. “What's your name?” When asked he answers. “Nishikido Ryo, I'm one of the trauma patients here” He studied the other, fascinated over how perfect he seemed. Chestnut coloured locks hanging down over clear features, completed by matching brown eyes who seemed to hold the answers to anything and everything. “Were the same then. My name is Ueda Tatsuya.”

Ueda came closer and Ryo noticed something he had failed to see before now. This man was like him, also bound to a wheelchair. It was hard for him to take in the fact that someone so complete had to use a tool like that to move. This proved the fact that this was indeed a human and not someone sent by God.

“Why are you here?” The soft voice was much closer now and Ryo trembled on his words. “I lost my memory in a car-accident.” Ueda didn't say anything and that somehow made Ryo feel comfortable, and he kept talking. “I can't remember anything before the accident, not even my loved ones...” An intense feeling of sadness was seen in the eyes of the other man as Ryo told him everything. Every little detail, every thought and happening since he had opened his eyes and found himself unfamiliar with his surroundings and his identity. “...I think I might love him.” He could feel hot tears make their way down his face. “I don't know what to do anymore.”

“I used to love someone too. He was a friend of mine and we had been together since forever. When he told me he loved me it was the happiest day of my life. He was the kindest person I've ever met and I felt truly blessed when I thought about us spending our lives together.” He could read a bittersweet expression and also a hint of some unknown feeling he couldn't put words on on the mans face as he kept talking. “But somehow, without me noticing it, he'd fallen down into a deep abyss of darkness. He slowly started to treat me differently, like a possession who should be kept safe. I didn't leave the bedroom for months and when I finally had a chance I tried to escape. It made it all worse, he stopped me of course. I remember the pain. I couldn't walk for several days after my attempt escape, but what hurt more was the fact that the man I loved so dearly had hurt me so. More so than my body, it was my heart that felt the excruciating pain” A single tear trickled down that perfect chin and Ryo wanted nothing more than to lift all the sorrow from the others shoulder. “I tried to run away one more time. He then realized that I couldn't be kept like a caged bird... In my weak state I couldn't do anything to fight it.” Ryo wanted to ask what had happened, but he knew that Ueda wasn't done talking so he kept quiet, waiting patiently for him to continue. “Six months ago he tried to kill us both. He jumped with me in his arms, telling me how much he loved me and that now we would be together forever, before letting go. We fell, nine floors from the balcony.” It seemed as if the other had some difficulties to talk now, still tears falling. “He didn't survive the fall. I did. Though I will never walk again.”

It was quiet now when Ueda was done telling his story. They sat there together crying for a few minutes before Ueda suddenly speaks again making Ryo look up, their eyes meeting. “I never regretted being him. I still love him. And even now I feel that the pain I feel now, is worth the happiness he made me feel then.” How this man could smile at this moment was a wonder to Ryo. “That doctor you told me about. If you love him now, I don't think you should stop yourself from feeling that because of the past, or for fear of what might happen in the future.” For the first time in an hour Ryo opens his mouth to speak, even though all he manages is a word. “But...” Ueda gives a sigh and comes closer, almost whispering in his ear. “If you truly do love him, don't waste any time and show him.” Before he has a chance to answer he can hear no other than Ohkura calling his name. “I'm over here!” He can see Ohkura walking towards him. When he looks back Ueda is no longer in sight and he can't help himself to think that this might all have been a dream. '

Ryo was beyond irritated that his comeback comment was something as plain and lame as “Shut up!” And what made it even worse was that Ohkura looks so damn pleased with himself for making him like this. Then he suddenly realize what would throw the other of completely. He had been thinking of doing it soon anyways, ever since that talk with Ueda. Now was a time as good as any. He make himself ready and wait for the right moment. “Well I'm just saying what I think and I just thought that was a weak...” He presses his lips onto the others and is pleased when Ohkura can say no more. Making the other shut up with a kiss was the best way to success. It was a rough clash of their mouths and he could feel himself getting nervous as the doctor still hadn't start kissing him back. On the other hand he hadn't moved away either, so he kept on going. When he finally feel a response he smirks into the kiss as they deepen it. He's no longer sure who's in charge, and to be frank he doesn't care. What matters is that right now he's kissing his crush for the first time, and that person is eagerly kissing him back.

If he could he would stay like this forever, on the bed kissing Ohkura deeply, their tongues intervening and fighting for dominance. But all humans has to breathe sooner or later. They pull apart slowly, not quite willing to let each other go, gasping for air after a passionate make out session. Ryo's mind is on overdrive, making it hard for him to think, let alone speak. Still he utters those words that had been lingering on the tip of his tongue for quite some time now. “I... I think...” He looks into Ohkura's deep, kind eyes and he can physically feel how all hesitation just flow of him like the rain against an umbrella.
“I'm in love with you.”

That wasn't so bad, was it? Well, I liked it anyway. The next update it will be back to a usual one so don't worry. Please tell me if I annoy you with my double update that didn't focus very much on the main story's development.

Also be aware that English isn't my first language, so I apologize if there are any annoying errors. ^^'''
Please comment, it's what keeps me motivated! :D So if you like it remember to comment, constructive critique is also welcome...

But that doesn't mean you have to be overly evil! *just joking* ^_^

ONCE AGAIN! HAPPY BIRTHDAY UEDA! :D Here are some pics, in celebration!
